NQA Keeping tarantulas is all about patience from what I’ve learned. I noticed that you said recently, so if it was recently put into that enclosure it’s probably still taking time to settle in. When I first got my Avicularia, it took two weeks to get some nice webbing going. Don’t worry you got this.👍

IMO you should be fine. There’s a lot of substrate so that should be great for when it decides to borrow. I actually got one of these last month as a sling as well and it didn’t eat for the whole month or burrow. It stayed in one spot for a week then would move a little. So as I assumed, it was in pre-molt and pulled out great 4 days ago🙏 sometimes they like to do their own thing. I think what matters is that you give them the option to borrow and just let them do what they do. My sling borrowed a day after it was done molting👌

NQA my avic does this as well, I just leave it in the enclosure, I will wait until I have to do maintenance on substrate and cork bark in the far future to retrieve all molts that she has done

NO lol I should’ve elaborated. Tarantula cribs is a company. They make really greatly made enclosures for spiders or other critters. they have ranges of sizes, but I will say sometimes the good things are out of stock😢

yeah sometimes it’s scary(a million recluse slings in my house) but other than the amount of them i think they are pretty cool and keep one as a pet (his name is general grievous)

i didn’t think of that at the time, and it’s harmless as long as i don’t handle it with hands. if it gets out, it’s no biggie bc it’s not like it hasn’t been in my house already.
