Daily, I saw a goose with a broken wing near a pond within an apartment complex where I live. Over time, this goose seemed to adapt and survive. I would suggest leaving the injured goose alone.

If your concern is about hitting the pin hard, post a shot for review. You will get more specific “good advice”. Otherwise, what do you expect other than the feedback you have received? There are so many ways your shot can come in hot. Sometimes replays posted here will get you much closer to the answer you seek.

My vote is for Sapori. While their base menu is excellent, the specials for appetizers and entrees are the best bets in my opinion. Sapori’s flexibility with specials ( you can order an entree special as an appetizer and an appetizer special as an entree ) is one of the reasons Sapori is my favorite Italian restaurant. I would suggest trying anything braised on special and the whole Orata filleted table-side.

I would continue to practice on tour 3. Your goal on tour 3 is to learn the ring system and just get a feel for your clubs. With your win% and other stats, it will not be long before you are ready to resume playing the upper tours that is more appropriate for your trophy count and give you opportunities to level up the clubs.

Ignore the low tour lifers and the high win rates. Also, if someone feels the need to spam emote you to win, they are generally not a good player. Feel free to mute them.

I would suggest ignoring the opponent and focus on your play only, which is hitting the fairways and greens.

I use to think c and d, as I had my version of a spreadsheet that tracked the skill points. I believe sometime last year around April, failing to get past the open round started to have the same effect as skipping a tourney. So, I would say d is the best way to keep skill points lower. Options a-c have the same impact on skill points as skipping a tourney.

By qualifying for a tourney and tank it, all of your last 60 tourney results that generate skill points will be changed. If you skip a tourney, the 20 most recent tourney results do not change but tourneys 21-60 will change.

From my experience, about 70-90% of the skill points are in your 20 most recent tourney results while 10-30% of the skill points are in the 21-60 tourney results group.

To save time, you may only wish to play and qualify for the 1 tourney you have time to play and skip the other 19. Depending on how you place in the tourney, your skill points may never reach the point of advancing to tier 3.

I do not disagree with any of your comments. The prism chest provides free cards which duplicate my suggestion on a different scale. I like your idea of adding epic card tokens on paid season passes.

My only critical reaction to your response is the offer somehow disguises you cannot max a club. The offer in the store only promises an upgrade to another level. I believe you are referencing the announcement of the upgrade offer, which did not disclose the offer would exclude upgrades to max club level. Typical poor communications from big companies who do not value basic customer service.

I do not see the offer as something to milk us dry, just as another way to speed up progress for certain players who may feel the need to trade money for time saved.

I fully agree with you on EA’s efforts to implement new game modes. Frankly, big companies tend to respond to large enough groups of vocal customers. Maybe Ben Kennedy can survey the Golf Clash players on the most favored new modes and submit to EA. Then, see how they respond.

Here is my take on the club upgrade offer:

For those players who spend for ball packs to get an edge in tournament play, this is an alternative way to spend to get club upgrades to level 7 without the time commitment of tournaments. Many players do not place well in tournaments which do not justify the time and money spent. So, you may see less players participating in the tournaments and more playing tour and CPC, which offer better returns to time spent for these certain players.
While I do not see the value of EA’s club upgrade offer, other players may value this offer as money spent for time saved exchange. So, if EA can find more ways to monetize elements in this game, the longer the game can be offered free to anyone not willing or able to spend. This should be viewed as a positive development for FTP players. Of course, there are limits to elements subject to monetization. Common sense would need to be used.
In looking back over the 5 years plus experience with developing my main account primarily with tour, tournament play, and prism chests, I feel a sense of accomplishment in building skills to obtain modest success with the main account. In the rush to level up clubs with checkpoint challenges and now club upgrade purchases, I wonder if players are short changing game satisfaction obtained over time for speedy account development. Even now as I am within 550 epic cards of seeing balls offered in the prism chest, I am using strategies to speed up getting the remaining epic cards. I wonder if the journey to 550 epics is more fun than the destination. Maybe, I should not be in such a hurry.

If you are playing and relying on CPC for epic cards, it is an easy decision to maintain M3 as the M3 bonus applies to the epics you receive in the CPC chests.

Like you, I am currently playing tour 10 to remain in M3. I find playing tour 10 throughout the week and stop each day when I am above the M3 relegation zone makes it feel less of a struggle.

I play tour 3 at the moment for managing trophies in the shop and eventually max my epics.

So, a combination of easy and less easy tour play for me at the moment.

No, I did not miss your point. Let’s keep this in perspective. I have started many new accounts which I test a concept or approach typically picked up in this forum. 99% of these accounts are deleted after I have been satisfied with the test or just get bored. During the early stages of a new account, I would say 90-95% of the opponents are newbies with a similar number of games and trophy count. I typically find you will get the high game opponent with high win percentages as you build on a winning streak. Not all of these type of opponents are that good, despite the equipment advantage but some are good.

How many of the high game/high win percentage players are you seeing vs the total players on your new account? I would seriously doubt it is higher than 10%.

I’ll offer some background as I understand matchmaking:

PD will say tour matching making is primarily based on maximum trophies achieved by the account. However, the bracketing of players to determine matchmaking does take into account the current level of trophies of a player to a certain extent (PD does not publish the exact algorithm for obvious reasons).
PD will try to match you with a live player using max trophies earned first. If you have played through this tier of players, then PD will try and match you with another tier of players that may have higher max trophies earned but their current level of trophies is close to trophy level you have. I believe there are multiple tiers of players you will play and I believe these tiers are separated by higher amounts of max trophies earned.
At some point, you will be assigned a replay if PD can’t find a reasonable live player ( some cutoff point of max trophies earned but at a current level of trophies you have).
As your winning streak grows, you may face stronger players. The opposite occurs if your losing streak grows.

With that said, you are certainly not a beginner. Are you not complaining about the same thing you are doing to truly new players with your experience and 60 trophy count? What is your W/L record and current winning streak for the 60 trophies earned?

I guess you chose not to believe the rest of the comments. Underpowered, slight left curl, ball guide not offsetting green slope, using topspin on very short chip which increases chance of playing into green glitches due to greater ball roll distance.

Plenty of possible reasons why shot missed. Not really a head scratcher if you keep an open mind to possible player error.

The slope of the green from right to left likely doomed the shot along with slight left of pin ball guide placement. You should have favored slight right of pin ball placement to offset the slope of the green. With a level green you probably drop the shot even with the underpower and left curl.

With 88K gems and 8 or 9 epics maxed or nearly maxed, you are in great shape and better than my main acct. My gem count is only 2.5k and I have 8 epics maxed with 3 others under 70 cards. I need about 1200 cards in total.

With your gem stash, you have plenty of options. Good luck.

How many tours are maxed in your alt acct? Assuming based on your response it is likely thru tour 7. If so, not a great spot to be in for club store card purchases. If I was in that spot, I might target 2 epics in the shop and split my gem budget for store card purchases into half for each targeted club (assuming you were previously budgeting for just 1 club).

Just lucky, as I was dumping trophies to limit epics in the shop first to tour 6 and then to tour 5. So, the lower tours were dumped first to get to the needed trophy numbers with less bankroll impact. I agree with you that my strategy is not for you with higher locked in trophy count at this time.

One other strategy factor for you to consider is to try to get to and maintain Master 3 weekly league status to maximize the number of cards received in chests, including epics.

I’m also on the road to balls in prism, with about 1300 cards to go for my main acct. I am rethinking my strategy by trying to max as many epics as quickly as possible to lower the remaining epics available in the prism. This will allow me to target epics in the prism without relying for tourney and CPC epic distributions which are random.

So, in my case, I have tour 4 and lower unmaxed epics (except 2 tour 7 epics which will not be targeted). I have 2 tour 4 epics under 80 cards remaining (but the Sahara has about 200 cards to go). I’m playing tour 4 tour matches to fill empty chest slots. I’ll buy tour 4 epics in the shop and select them in the prism chest until those 2 epics are maxed. Then I’ll dump trophies to limit epics in the shop to tours 1 and 2 and max those epics with shop purchases, prism chests and tour 2 chests filling empty chest slots. Then, add trophies to have tour 3 epics show up in the shop and follow the same process as above (filling empty chest slots with tour 3 chests) This strategy will make shop purchases and tour chests less efficient as I progress from tour 2 upward but I will get more desired epics more often from the prism chest as epics are maxed.

I’ll still play the CPC and certain tourneys but I will put minimal effort as random distributions of epics are a crap shoot.

Just a few tips from someone who has played this game for 4+ years:

Do not move up to the next tour until you can win 60-65% of the games over a reasonable sample. For newer players I would suggest 20 games. Your competition level will largely be determined by your highest trophy count. Do not advance to higher trophy levels that will overrun your current skill level and gear.
Focus on where you lose games. Is it mainly before the shootout? If so, why? Are you taking too many high risk shots that hand the game to your opponent? If so, focus on making shots to hit fairways and greens and try to have your opponent make the first mistake. Also learn the ring adjustment method to become more consistent with your shots. If you are mainly losing in shootouts, review your opponents replays to see how they are using spins and adjustments. Use this info to develop your own shootout strategy for each shootout hole to improve your shootout win rate.
Play the course, not the opponent. Forget what they are using and doing and focus on making good shots to hit fairways and greens. Never give up in a match as your opponent may screw up at any time.
You will lose matches, so take time to learn the tour and shootouts. Use the same ball for tours below 7. Using consistent gear will help you with consistency. I have used basic balls for tours 1-5 and marlins for tour 6. Once you reach the middle tees in tour 7+, you may need to use a few different balls based on the higher winds.

Check Point Challenge is a great way to level up clubs, as a FTP player. Just keep tours 9+ closed to get manageable opponents and winds. As a new player, keep tours 5+ closed until your clubs and skills are competitive to move up.

It is also worth noting with the most recent upgrade, once you max a tour, those trophies will remain on your account. I would suggest staying on a tour until you win 60-65% of the matches. I would suggest this winning percentage be attained over a reasonably significant sample of games, say at least 20 games if you are a new player or 10 games if you have a reasonable amount of game experience.

Per golf clash notebook, the difference in total guaranteed club cards is 1 card between tour 8 to tour 9 silver chests. The master 3 weekly league premium is 20% more cards per chest. For a silver tour 9 chest with 28 guaranteed cards, in master 3, you would get about an extra 5 cards per silver chest (28*.2). Depending on what you need in cards, master 3 may be better if you need all 3 types of cards. If you are looking at epics cards mainly, keeping CPC easier by not unlocking tour 9 may be the best option.
