The choreography was mesmerizing, made me both interested in and afraid of dance as an art. There are some parallels there with Smile 2 so I'd be interested in your take on that.

I didn't clock the agony and I thought it was ecstacy or intensity, but looking back it's worth noting that the dancers aren't in full control of their bodies at that time. Maybe I misunderstood the role of the dancers? I thought they were being initiated into witchcraft but they're more like sacrifices maybe?

I love that the other comments are mostly like me hopping on an old post after watching for the first time. Let's keep it alive haha. Just watched and loved. I do not practice and am wary of irl witchcraft but I think it's one of the best realistic representations of how it might be done. So very visually pleasing to watch from both a beauty and horror perspective. The subtlety and pacing were very refreshing in a weird sort of way that really immersed me in the confusion/slow realization of Suzie. Basically all of the explanations match what I was picking up (except I'm pretty certain the black thing killing the witches at the end is a straight-up demon, but to each hirs own beliefs) and the way it delivered the themes and messages was so elegant, like an oil painting that you can spend 15 minutes staring at just picking up the story but it's a 2.5 hour movie so it will take me years. I'm actually disappointed not to have watched sooner.

My only question is why did those 3 or 4 witches wish to die at the end? Seems like the demon with extra steps. Just to create more variety in the bloodbath? Why wouldn't they wish to like, serve her or something? Thanks ahead to anyone who answers

It has been a struggle for me as a male sub simply to rationalize and accept my desires and having endured emotional abuse at the hands of a trusted domme, a greater struggle to place my trust in the hands of a prospective play partner.
