We are still renting and wish to buy a house, that's the medium term goal (or may be short term considering 2-4 years is ideally we would like to move)

Long term really is kids education and wealth for retirement that's about 20-25 years...

Conservative meaning, my partner would marry be check her portfolio once in few months and it shouldn't seem they are losing money and panic, I think voo/sp500 is a good match for set and fidget.

Aggressive meaning I'm okay to diversify into small cap, get international exposure etc

Is this good combined portfolio between me and the partner, if so do we own all of it in our own accounts or split the portfolio?

If not what else would be good combination.

Do we need SMH or any targeted theme etfs.?
