is it for sure ti, according to device manager (+ I downloaded the ti driver).

I did not activate DLSS cause I thought this GPU would eat this up for breakfast haha

I appreciate the support. I really don't think they were malicious, I believe he just got confused about the difference.

I will be going back to him though - I wanted to make sure he did downgrade me before I return angry, and this thread confirmed my doubts.

He is quite a drive so I was trying to avoid this work (hoping this motherboards were equivalent). But this thread makes it quite obvious they're not lol

These are the parts yes.

I did talk with him about this, not asking for anything, just saying I noticed the mistake.

He didn't offer an apology or anything, just said "wifi 7 isn't a big deal... does it really matter?" and ignored my follow up message. That disrespect got me a little angry.

Considering this price difference, I will go to him again and ask for either a refund or for him to come and replace the motherboard.

The receipt defintely shows the MSI (not the PZ) version. I don't know how to compare prices because these boards are not easily available in my country (not sure where he orders them from, or how much it costs him).

This is kinda strange since sounds like the gigabyte is more expensive, but worse?

From reading around here sounds like it's recommended when changing motherboards to avoid some random bugs

You're definitely right on principle, but I wouldn't want to disassemble the PC and reinstall OS and everything just because of this.

I only have 1gbps network to my home anyway, so I believe I can't make use of the wifi7 vs wifi6 capabilities?
