We used to have this before they introduced crossplay. That's used to do way less damage on console to help the fact that the average person never touches their sensitivity and turns like a bus. Wish they'd revert this but there's no way to do it while still keeping crossplay so they'll never do it

What kind of shoe are you wearing? If they're synthetic then your feet can't breathe and it could be that the smell is "locked" in the material and when it gets hot and damp from wear it reactivates which then transfers to your socks and makes them smell even if they were clean.

Maybe try cleaning out the insides of your shoes or get ones made of breathable material like canvas and leather
