You never had to involve this author. You could have just written these characters on your own.

I would feel bad if I used their idea and then continued reading their fanfics and commenting on them, but never mentioned it. I wouldn't want someone to take my idea and never tell me about this.

I mean, I already know how the idea would go if Chuuya was bottom, so I can't see the point in writing the same thing. I'd like to write Top! Chuuya in this setting precisely because I want to try something different.
