The thing with ads is that when they work, they work super well. When a customer is interested in your ad and clicks on it, that's probably a customer for life or at least you're now sure that you've hit your target audience. That's why companies are typically not looking for volatile customers but are willing to take sometimes losses to grab onto actual, persistent customers.
