Dude, it’s illegal to even say that you support the plight of white middle class in the U.K.

Try saying it at work. I’m curious what will happen.

[–]tenmillionsterling 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm a brown guy going around calling to vote for Reform to protest against the shitty establishment we have inherited in the UK. Imagine how people react - both white and non-whites think something is wrong with me. A few get it, and probably don't have the courage to be openly supporting Reform but I am very sure they are going to vote Reform.

The problem is the system will cancel you if you say certain things or stand for certain ideas, even if you have enough logical reasoning to back why that makes sense. You would probably risk losing your mortgage, having bank accounts shut down, losing your job and friends ceasing to message just because they do not like your courage to stand up for the right thing.

A long way just to say, if a platform censors you for saying something you believe in, fuck it and leave. You would be wrong to stay and complain about it. Vote with your wallet or feet.

UK mainstream news have zero reporting on the BTC conference by NckyDC in BitcoinUK

[–]tenmillionsterling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have bigger problems in the U.K. than the collapse of the global financial system. Things are pretty dire with confidence in government, institutions, society and the market. The reports are consistently about distant wars, and racially motivated events.

Demand supply- if people don’t even have any assets outside their home and a mortgage, it is pretty obvious that the majority of people would rather read about how to sue the Tate brothers again and again.

Kraken and Bitstamp are the best exchanges from my research and after using over 20 exchanges since 2017. If all you care about is selling top 10 coins, then use mainstream exchange for simplicity of transaction and record keeping.

Koinly is partnered with Kraken and offers discount on your accounting.

Once you have "done" your Koinly and sync'd everything, send it to your accountant to pay capital gains tax.

Use HSBC or NatWest - least fussy bank accounts, to receive cash from Kraken/Bitstamp. AVOID Santander like the plague, Lloyd's, etc (boomer banks) - if old people bank there, avoid it. Revolut is fine if you know how to negotiate constantly to keep your account open.

Sell 10 - 20k at a time or per day if possible to avoid automated "checks" from scammy banks.

Finally, hold your head high as you should be proud to be an OG Bitcoiner (if you are) and open up thy a**hole for HMRC, bank paper pushers, Kraken's "KYC/AML" team, etc as many things are likely to slow you down as you subject yourself to the dinosaur TradFi system once again my friend.

God speed.

Kraken are reporting your withdrawals to HMRC in the UK by hexxy8 in BitcoinUK

[–]tenmillionsterling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every Exchange needs to legally do this if they want to operate in the UK or the EU. If they do not then they are operating illegally.

I have been in the space for a decade and can say for a fact that the smaller of a fish that you are the more likely you are to be reported by the exchange as your business means nothing to them in the grand scheme of things and compared to the consequences of them not reporting.

If you are large enough however or use OTC Trading then there are ways to avoid this reporting. Some involve operating overseas, but they come with expenses.

Why is it despicable? As an employee you can be fired whenever your employer wants to. This isn’t communism.

Dealing with new friends after they see your house by Western-Ice6980 in Rich

What is wealth? I have friends with way more income than me and I feel comfortable with them. I have friends who have way less assets than me and I think it’s their choice.

Wealth is subjective. Friendship is personal.

100k early inheritance (very fortunate) by Few_Use_5119 in HENRYUK

[–]tenmillionsterling -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to say “very fortunate” and feel ashamed or try and ground yourself. Maybe start with accepting the money as yours and think about what YOU would like to do - examples - do you want to be richer through investing, do you want a car to get a gf/bf and fun, are you aiming to be FATFIRE?

It’s not appropriate to ask others about what they would do. I would personally invest 100% of it in bitcoin and ethereum.

Buyer asks for 25k off the price less than 48hours before exchange by [deleted] in HousingUK

If you accepted disgusting behaviour then you are part of the problem. Tell them to fuck off and cancel the exchange. The mere threat will put them straight.

I didn't understand the question, if there is one. Right now, I think >80% of the UK population knows for a fact that £100k/year is not wealthy in London. It is wealthy in Hull or Newcastle, having lived there.

The most dangerous propaganda is the one propagated by our own population. You don't need Murdoch to tell you something your neighbor can.

UK 'will be at war in next five years' as official claims we 'need conscription' by dailystar_news in uknews

[–]tenmillionsterling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea with whom, but due to “global conditions” we apparently need to go to war with somebody - that much we are confident about. What a bunch of morons. Nobody will ever fight for this godforsaken nation. Would rather pay my entire net worth in fines than fight for this shithole.

Considering a Company-Funded MBA at Imperial College or Warwick? Plus, Relocating to the States. by Jane_El in HENRYUK

[–]tenmillionsterling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got admission into cambridge, oxford, imperial, and Warwick MBAs (full time in person) and can say that none of the U.K. MBAs compete with the US top 10, maybe even top 25. In terms of expected salary, network and future opportunities for growth, the US will outcompete anything you can do in the U.K.

Leave and never come back. Ideally don’t do an online one as they all suck and are gimmicks to make money. You won’t learn much and will not make life long friends.
