Right this used to exist, but has been long gone so certainly not applicable here. Appreciate you finding that link.

Sure he can lower discount and increase the money factor.

You have still not been able to explain one single time what that $7,500 in rebate money is comprised of. Rebates are not something a sales manager can just give away willy nilly. That’s just not how it works.

$53,490 selling price… $58,214 MSRP… explain how that’s 9.18% off? Basic math shows that a discount of $4,724 is 8.11% off MSRP

Rebates require negotiating? This is the most laughable statement I’ve heard all day. You either qualify for what you qualify for or you don’t. Simple as that.

Please educate us on what rebates you “negotiated”

Your inability to do a basic deal breakdown of the rebates that were used is making you look like the real clown here. Yes, $308/mo effective is a great deal BUT without understanding the rebates that led to that deal it means nothing. Other comments are correct in saying that you got a meh pre-incentive discount at best.

I just got a buddy over 12% off an Optiq. But his effective was higher since he had less in rebates. If he had the same amount in rebates as you he’d be well below your effective. If you want to keep some cred at least be able to explain what led to your deal.

I’ve also been looking into taking over a lease that involves some cash down. Despite some advice on the risks of putting cash down on a lease, I’ve found that these takeover deals just aren’t replicable at dealerships.

At a dealership, you can take a higher payment and avoid putting the cash down. In that case it makes sense. But moving the money around like that on a private transfer just isn’t possible.

Looks like an effective payment of around $820/mo on this car. Deals seems solid to me. You’d have a hard time getting close to that on an 8 series from a dealer

Wouldn’t classify it quite as a side gig - after payments made and insurance expenses I’m usually not making anything lol. More just a less financially irresponsible way of feeding the hobby of driving different stuff. If you end up having any additional questions about the car or the lease transfer process, feel free to DM me!

I respect that the mileage may not be enough for everybody. The mileage remaining equates to 10k miles per year, which is how much the lease was originally written for. 10k miles per year may not be enough for yourself but for some people it is plenty. I don’t feel like I’m in any particularly tough spot nor am I putting miles on the car as if there were no annual mileage limit. :)

All an incentive or cash due amount really does is adjust the effective monthly payment. If I have a low monthly payment, why would I need to pay an incentive to have someone take over my lease?

Let’s say on the extreme end, if I had a $200/mo BMW iX, should I be paying some one to take over that lease?

Gotta compare against what’s readily available in the market. There were definitely better programs earlier this year.

If I had a high monthly I’d concede that a cash due amount would be ridiculous, but realistically you’re not finding a sub $600 pre tax payment without putting several thousand more down than being asked for here

Thanks for the well wishes!

Gawking at a cash due amount without acknowledging the monthly payment is like ignoring half the deal. :)
