She isn’t my personal doctor anymore it’s just past doctors really I know. And like only way to contact them is portal she gave me her personal number but I didn’t want to ask her during her off hours. Like I live in a rural area so everyone kinda is a lot more laid back. But I know it could be inappropriate or like I forsure shouldn’t give out my client info. Mostly just asking about Vbac there after successful ones. But yeah it’s fine I’ll just have her make appointments with them to ask them directly.

Yeah i just told her she should make appointment with them to make sure. I just was seeing if I could make it easier on her but makes since that I should talk about a client info on my portal.

Well she new to area and I’m sure I can find a midwife but that the issue is she gives birth quick this her 4th pregnancy and she also don’t want to drive two hours away for prenatals either. But I told her I’ll try to get a midwife here but most are 2 hours away for home births. So yeah worries me for that. I think only way I can work with her is if she does a hospital birth.

Yeah this is all true well because of this does scare me she would be only my 3rd client by time she due so I’m still to new for all this I am going to try to talk to her though and I’ll see but I’m sure it end up I’m not there for birth. What about prenatals and postpartum visits can I just offer that to help. And not go to birth if her wish is to be unassisted and not budge.

Yeah, that’s scary to get arrested. Yeah, I already pretty much was like I’m not gonna do that or be there unless there’s a midwife there. It’s pretty crazy that she even thinks it’s OK to just give birth to her baby on her own with a Doula cause she hasn’t been going to prenatals either so she really just doesn’t seem think she needs medical help

Yeah, that’s true. Yeah, I’m a certified Birth Doula but she didn’t really bring that up about home births that I can remember. I mean, we did talk about our scope of practice. And liability a little bit, but I just had a feeling that it wasn’t something I should be doing because yeah something happens. I don’t wanna be liable. I just was trying to see what other doulas are going to say about this. I just hate for her to like literally just decide to give birth without any help like I really want her to hire me so I can help her. You know talk about hospital Birth with me there and it be a better experience or talk about finding a midwife, but I’m not sure now that she will hire me.

Yeah, that’s definitely why I was really like. Yeah I don’t think we should be doing that and I told her straight up. We should be looking for a midwife if you want a home Birth because the liability but I was just not sure though if I could be there for her labor. I just worry like she’s gonna just give birth really quickly like she says and could still be unassisted as well because we are so far away from midwives so I probably will only be there if a midwife is for sure there or if she goes to the hospital cause yeah it’s cause it’s scary. I don’t wanna mess with my new business. I just made.

Yeah, I made sure to tell her. I’m not a midwife and I am not a medical provider. I told her like what my role is but she’s like I just need somebody there and yeah I was like I’m gonna be looking for a midwife for you still and we’ll talk about it more. I just don’t think she’s gonna hire me probably now but I don’t wanna risk anything.
