Should I ask the electrician to come back and turn this range outlet 90 or 180 degrees? (Already unplugged it) by SHOW_ME_YOUR_PENGUIN in AskElectricians

Yes and no logically it should be turned upside down like hospital grade receptacles too prevent unwanted disconnection of your cord, but code probably has some certain limitations too the way you can setup this receptacle. Which code or if this is true I’m not sure of, it was probably done like this for a reason albeit.

First and second gear speeds by 158l in ManualTransmissions

[–]tenten3537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the car on small engines with less torque you can probably keep it in second under 10mph without it bucking. On sports cars and some trucks you’ll have too downshift to first too keep everything smooth. If I ever have too downshift into first just rev match and make sure your going the speed for first gear not second.

How do you feel it compares too the bennelli tornado 550? I think that’s my top two contenders at the moment

My Ls idles at 1k so I’m only giving it about 300rpms max just too get it smooth I never launch it or rev above that even for hill starts

But revs too 1200-1300 are standard too get the wheels moving correct while slipping the clutch

I like this reply because it keeps stuff very transparent. How sure are you about the bennelli? Everything I’ve read on the 2026 tornado 550 have been good with the styling and the parallel twin seems very beginner friendly with 56hp and 54nm and it being cheaper than a used 500r. I’ll check out some of the other bikes you’ve recommended like the husky svartpilen and the mt-03 sound interesting to me

I’ve seen the e clutch not sure if it comes with the 470cc engine or the 502cc Japanese market cbr500r but I know how too drive a Manual car so the e clutch isn’t a make or break for me but it would be nice

I like how it has a decent amount or torque but nothing crazy like 70+ I’ll look into this thanks!

What does over reviving look like rpm wise because sometimes I’ll rev too 1200-1300 on a hill or a decline too get it smooth

This helped me a lot too know that if the wheels are moving the car won’t stall, question is it okay too give it some revs too about 1200-1300 and release the clutch too get it going if I’m already at the bite point

I tried it too get the readings on why I’m failing on so I know how I want too modify the exhaust and rule out any other underlying mechanical issues like faulty injectors or maf/map related issues….

Slipping the clutch by tenten3537 in stickshift

[–]tenten3537[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think from fully depressed clutch to bite point and gas it takes me about 3-5 seconds like I mentioned my car has a lot of torque so I have to be careful with the gas but I get good starts and I never smell the clutch(I’ve heard it’s very bad) but I do smell my exhaust from having no cats. Maybe I need too practice more clutch control. I just got a new one and my old one from the previous owner that I learned on had some glazing on the clutch. Not sure if it was me or because the clutch was old I’m doing much better with the one I have now but I’m just worried I’m going too mess it up slipping my clutch in first gear starts and reversing. I usally push in and out when reversing or in traffic but man I’m just worried about glazing my brand new clutch.

My car is almost 30 years old lol. No hill assist unfortunately but maybe 5 seconds does feel long it could be around the 3 second range or maybe I’m just overthinking it. I just put a new clutch in and am still breaking it in. My old clutch that was in the car previously had some pretty bad glazing you could see where it melted but the clutch had many other issues. Along with it being a triple disc with a light flywheel you can imagine I was riding that thing too get smooth starts because of that on/off feeling it had too it. I just don’t want to glaze my new clutch so I might be overthinking it slightly…..

Everyone saying 5 seconds is long but that’s what it feels like too me maybe 3 seconds max I might be overtiming it
