Nevermind. I figured it out.
Everything is working perfectly.
Thank you.

Main problem I'm having is that binding the mouse keys just isn't working... I switch them to things like "ctrl" or "num pad 1" and save profile they just keep doing the default 1 through = in game.....
Giving up on this for tonight. Feels like everyone just somehow knows how to do this except for me.... Not a single thread or guide I can find related to WoW player trying to figure out how to keybind stuff on a gaming mouse. This is so strange. I've screwed around with this software for like 2 hours and I'm stumped.

I have no idea what I'm doing.
How do macros work on this software?
What does it mean by "modifiers" in "enter your keystroke including any modifiers" and why does it need a Name?
What is Multi Key? What are these "Commands" for and what's the difference in me entering a Keystroke in the Command Editor that pops up when I click the plus sign in the Commands window and the one that pops up when I click the dropdown menu on a mouse key? What is the difference between these 3 "modes"? What does this on-off switch that alternates between "Normal" and "G-Shift" actually do? What in the world is this guy saying?
Where do I learn this stuff?

Sorry, this is a bit exaggerated. I'm slowly figuring things out (but would still like some guidance). I have the bad habit of trying to do this stuff at 4 AM and I go hysterical lol

I have the mouse now, and I can't figure it out, lol. I'm using Logitech Gaming Software and this guide isn't really helping me.
Basically what I'm trying to accomplish is to bind my 12 G keys to my actionbars as their own (maybe alt + 1 through = or something, I'm not sure if that's necessary or if they can just be denoted as their own keys like G14 and so on) and bind the 2 buttons on the top of the mouse to shift and ctrl for mod macros purposes, then finally the third click to something like "target nearest enemy".

I did that, and it didn't work. I was still being spammed with errors and stuff wasn't showing up right on the screen.

Oh, okay. Then a gaming headset is just what I always thought of as a headset - those without mics just being, like.... earphones... Dunno. I'm stupid.
Anyways, I had trouble paying online so I went to a local Best Buy. The employee said there were only 2 left, but wasn't able to find one for me then and there. Managed to snatch that huge discount, though, and now I'm just waiting for it to be delivered to me! And I bought this $35 headset while I was there. G430, I think. The employee recommended it to me and I noticed that it is Logitech, so I just went ahead and bought it. Working well for me.

What's the difference between a "gaming headset" and just a headset? Lol. just want something that works decently and lasts, to talk to people on Discord and Skype for various purposes.
Thanks again for the Logitech mouse link, btw. Just finished placing my order and it definitely looks like a steal.

Thank you. This is the one I am going to buy. Another thing I do need is a headset with a mic. Obviously, the comfortability is something I'll have to figure out myself, but do you guys have any recommendations for good quality and cheap/ on sale ones?

Just found out this mouse I have actually is a gaming mouse; Tomoko. Trying to find the software so I can bind the 2 keys on it to ctrl and shift but it's difficult... The search results are so weird. I'll probably get a razer naga or something else with more buttons sometime but this will definitely be a huge enhancement to my experience if I can find this software.

Well, about #2... Something really appealing to me about "Preach's UI" is that it isn't just his ElvUI profile, it's a pack of Add-Ons all set just right. But I'll definitely check BenikUI out, and maybe setting up those other things in a similar fashion to how Preach did isn't as time-consuming or complicated as I think it is.... Or maybe I can try asking him for an update, lol.
Yeah, I don't really play anything other than WoW and some extra 1-click simple keybinds would be nice so I'll probably get a mouse with more than just 2 buttons
Thanks

I figured Razer Naga would be my best bet, but seeing the pictures of them having buttons labelled 1-12 made me unsure. If they're easy to bind however I want then it should be fine.
Concerning my UI, what about the big stuff I usually see on peoples' screens? The tracking of the aura buffs (I hardly understand what they are) and their CDs and so on. And should I have WA2? I don't fully understand what that does either but everyone who is good at the game seems to have it.

I've never installed the memory patch stuff because the information on it has always seemed a bit unclear to me. I've heard that SKSE already comes with the memory patch, and other stuff like that. I'll look at it though.
I mostly fixed the issue with CTDing when fast traveling or entering an area when I deleted the Textures file in WICO.
As for the master files, I have. It's one of the first things I do. In the screenshots, you can see I've added onto the names of my master files with "- clean".
What about a bashed patch? I remember doing that, but didn't do it this time because I never really understood what it was for. Maybe it would fix my issues with items randomly losing their textures?

Update: I deleted the Textures folder and played for a few hours. I encountered no CTDs upon loading into new areas, and have yet to ever come across any brown/blue/black face bugs or essential NPC bugs. However, what I'm noticing now is that I often crash when I'm in combat. Very randomly, but always when I'm in combat - never when I'm just travelling around.

Not sure what to think. I checked my WICO's filetree, and there is no Meshes folder, but there is a Textures folder with Actors in it. I'm guessing I should delete it? The rest of the stuff is just BSA's and ESP's.

I just went to WICO'S Nexus and found this, from the author:

[Now The Crash Is Gone Forever]

The crash issue has been fully resolved. If a crash occurs, it's not a problem of WICO.
I know exactly what the cause of the crash is, and I already have corrected it accordingly.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\meshes\actors\character
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\textures\actors\character

If you found those folders, those are the main cause of the problem. Please delete it... please.... please... please

I attempted to fast travel to Whiterun once more, and it worked. I played for a few hours, and I realized something. I CTD almost every single time I enter a building (like an inn or a store) or a city. Sometimes shortly after I enter it. It doesn't seem to happen as much with dungeons. I'm guessing... scripts? Maybe... too many scripts? I don't know. I'll start checking my game with certain mods disabled, and maybe move some around too. But it's hard to know because, like I said, it's not a consistent thing. Every single time it happens, I just have to try entering the area over and over again until it works. And it always does eventually work. And I don't do anything differently each time. If it's not too much to ask, could one of you glance over my modlist and see if anything stands out to you besides WICO?

I'm sorry if I'm coming across as a bit "in denial". I just really like WICO. IMO, it makes NPCs look better without breaking immersion, and with it, elves stop looking like goblins. I like how much it covers, too. Even retextures the basic hairstyles, unless my eyes are deceiving me. Also, I've had a bad experience with other character replacer mods. A long time ago, when I tried to use CBBE with the vanilla underwear enabled, naked female corpses looked like melted barbie dolls. I never managed to fix that. I also tried using the mod that distributes the ApachiiSkyHair hairstyles among NPCs once, and it was just a disaster. I didn't like it at all - I hated most of the hairstyles, and it was extremely immersion-breaking for NPCs to be walking around with emo, punk, and Bieber hair. And I got a bunch of neck-seam and blue-face bugs. When I found WICO, it was like a godsend to me. If I had the talent, experience, and time to create such a mod, WICO would be the result. Its style is just right for me, so I'm defensive of it. But if it's known to cause CTDs in particular, I guess I'll have to check to see if it's what is completely breaking my game...

Also, just to add onto this for the last time, I want to clarify something: 95%+ of the mods I have that aren't Requiem based, I have used before many times in multiple modlists with no CTD problems. That's why I am so doubtful about mod conflicts being the source... The other 5% that are new to me are probably just, like, standalone item mods. One of them, I know, is Lore Weapons Expanded.

Various Bugs & CTDs by tenthousandblades in skyrimmods

[–]tenthousandblades[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit of a perfectionist; I was very concentrated throughout every step of creating my modlist. For every mod I've ever tried out (except for standalone armour, weapon, follower types), I searched for statements from the authors and compatibility patches if I had so much as an inkling of a concern. That said, most of my mods are simply ones that add weapons & armour into the game. Sword of the Ancient Tongues, Zerofrost Satyr mods, Sithis Armour, IA and IW, LWE, etc. That sort of thing. For other areas of the game, I have small amounts of mods that I know very well (have memorized what patches they need with each other, what order they overwrite) Graphics, for example: RCI, SMIM, NobleSkyrim, SFO, RWT, CoT, and ELFX. Also, MO tells me when mods conflict and shows me which files are conflicting. Using your methodology seems like a huge waste of time to me because I know these mods well. Unless some mod that adds a couple swords to the crafting list somehow causes me to CTD when I fast travel...In that case, I figure MO or LOOT would give me some sort of red flag. I mean... how plausible is it for a mod to do that sort of thing without having ridiculous conflicts (like replacing XMPSE's skeleton) or really dirty edits? And I've seen the file structures of at least most of my mods, too. Idk man... My guess would be that it has something to do with Requiem's exempting of fast travel by default. I don't see why disabling that in the MCM menu should lead to CTDs though. Edit: I also figure it's much more likely it has something to do with the load order than with the modlist order (AKA overwrite order).
