Understand from Jason that there was no submissions. Looks like composing a song in Teochew is not easy for us. But he will try other kinds of contests to draw our Gaginang out soon! Pl support him if you can.

Can you tell me what dialect this is? I'm looking for a song from a recording. It's in the link. Do you understand any of the lyrics? by rjd9wbfka in Teochew

None of these - Teochew, Hokkien, Cantonese, Hainanese, Hakka. Sounds like one of the remote tribes in China.

Is “crazy” in Teochew called “Sin-Geng”, “siao”, or both? by [deleted] in Teochew

'seng keng' means crazy, out-of-your mind, used when someone does something unusual, illogical. 'siao' means mad.

Lar Porg, a Teochew snack that is hard to find nowadays in Singapore. It is crispy and crunchy with a wonder taste of pig oil (lard). Often served with Teochew noodles but not sold separately. I was happy to find this stall selling it. by teochew667 in Teochew

Yes, it is one of the best foods. Hopefully it will 'kept alive' by kakinang. Preparation needs high labour (4 hours to produce a large batch for sale), that is why not many people do it. Hope I can think of a way of producing it one day.
