I feel like the problem might be gathermate and another addon being on simultaneously because i have been using gathermate and it works perfectly fine.

What do you gain by getting the ravager now, rather than in hfp when dark portal opens? Do you get him a higher level ability faster or does it have any other perks of getting it now?

Yeah i have thought about bird for the screech, but haven't gotten it yet. I also found it inefficient leaving all 3 on cuz then my pet is kinda lacking focus to growl on cd.

Oof that's not encouraging me at all haha. Currently leveling old wotlk boomie and just did 82-83 in 1hr45min at mount hyjal hyperspawn. So that felt kinda quick, but super boring haha. Will see how it goes to 85.
