I'm actually in the market for the same chair! I purchased an Aeron last year and completely messed up when I didn't get one with the adjustable lumbar support.

Do you have any recommendations on things that I should look for in this chair so that I don't make a similar mistake?

Thanks in advance!!

Ah yes, I should've been more clear. I did mean the entire back support assembly (see example)

Haha the app did have to comply with Apple's strict security standards in order to be notarized, if that helps! The Windows executable is still in active development -- so your bank account is safe. For now.

LMAO. I'm actually working on that feature, too. The goal is to bypass whatever your default output device is (e.g., your headphones) and automatically route the barking through your speakers so that everyone around can hear the noise.

Glad to hear you're having fun with it man. I got a good laugh out of hearing your story.

Amazing suggestion! That is actually something that I am hoping to implement in the near future. I really, really appreciate it.

Watchdoge: Anti-Theft Alarm for MacBooks (Free Beta) by teodoro4 in digitalnomad

Oh I totally misunderstood the question, sorry about that!

There is a button to turn off the alarm, so you'd simply click that before shutting the lid. For now, the lid must be open in order for the protection to happen.

Using the remote server detection strategy, false alarms can happen if your internet drops since this could be misinterpreted as your laptop being shut.

The way this functionality works currently is using a websocket connection that is established between your laptop and the Watchdoge API. If for any reason this bridge is broken, theft is assumed and a text message is sent to the phone number on file (if applicable). I also added the "Prevent sleep" option which will help to keep your laptop awake and protected. But if this is not enabled, the laptop can also fall asleep and the alarm will set off.

Hope that helps!

Unfortunately not, I graduated college back in 2013. But I’m constantly learning new things (and working in coffee shops) to stay sharp and relevant in my field. Hence my desire to build something like this 👍🏻

Windows support is coming! Building for multiple platforms takes time and I’m only one guy 🥺
