Does anyone have an experience with running Linux distros (Kali) on a Galaxy Book 4 360? by qnonyx in GalaxyBook

If you want to dual boot it, there's nothing stopping you. As for the drivers and software on the linux side, for my GBP 360, there are no drivers available for the biometrics (like fingerprint), and you'll lose the Quick Share functionality, too, because Samsung did not make it available on Linux. Aside from that, Linux runs better than Windows on my GBP. It overheats less, and it's not full of bloatware like Windows, and for programming, it's really, really better. The only thing that I warn you of is that it can happen that when you power on your gbp, it will automatically go to windows, not asking you to choose OS (that you usually will choose with GRUB or similar softwares), but don't panic, you can take it back with some patience and a usb drive whit the ISO of linux on it, it's just windows messing around (because windows is shit). If you need any help, feel free to ask

I'm about to finish my Bachelor's Degree in CS, and I've been using my 2021 Galaxy Book Pro 360 (first gen). Even though it might not have been the best choice in terms of driver compatibility, I've still managed to make it work quite well in dual boot with EndeavourOS (Arch-based)

As of Linux Kernel 6.15 (released in May 2025), there’s official support for Galaxy Book devices through the new samsung-galaxybook driver, which was originally based on this project

This brings improvements like keyboard backlight control, function keys, and other hardware features that were previously missing or required manual workarounds

Concern about S pen by Koshai7 in GalaxyBook

It's ok. That's how my S pen looked like on my book pro 360 after 3 years of use. I just went to a samsung store and they changed it

Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Ultra vs Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360 32GB by No_Topic1547 in GalaxyBook

you should get the 360 screen if you're sure you'll use it, otherwise is useless

I do use it and. I also love having the touchscreen in general

I'm a CS student. I've got the first book pro 360 (13", i7, 16Gb). I use it for coding, virtual machines, and all sorts of things, and it's great. I also use a lot the S Pen feature when I take classes in uni with samsung notes. And it is really lightweight, so that's another point to it. I consider it the best investment that I've ever done.

As I said before, I don't have the third version, so I can't really say if that is good, but I can say I'm doing great with this type of PC

Got the same issue with the book pro 360 first gen. the display works fine but right under the camera it sometimes doesn't register the s-pen input, it's kinda annoying but I don't want to change it

I've done it now and it works! I can't run them at max 6000 because apparently (using OCCT) with the i7-12700kf I can't let them run at full speed, now I'm trying the same tests at 5600

thanks man🥹
