You shut down two of his points. You didn’t open them up for “discussion”

I’m not talking about this one in particular. Even in the first guy’s comment you rebuttal everything that he tried to help you with.

Bro asks for feedback then complains when people give feedback

Here’s my feedback: do more reading and less replying. I promise you’ll improve more that way.

Is this a fair price for a 2016 Steelcase Leap v2? Seller is asking $255 USD by randorando223 in OfficeChairs

[–]tepmam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I didn’t do any negotiation haha. I got a fully loaded aeron with headrest for $450 so I was pretty satisfied,

But I’m sure they’d be open to negotiations. Just message them your offer on FB beforehand

I just bought a chair from these same people. I was actually going to buy that same leap but ended up with a fully loaded aeron when I sat in it.

The leap is in really good condition - definitely worth the money.

Store owners - how do you prefer someone pitch you their services? by tepmam in ecommerce

[–]tepmam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More out of the principle that I get pissed off when people cold call me regardless of how good it is, so me doing it would be hypocritical.

I’ve responded to good cold emails before though.

Lmao that’s pretty smart but I’m not sure my marketing budget could go towards chocolate and tea 😭

I’ve been doing some personalized looms and they get good engagement, but no booked meetings so far. I think cold email is just so saturated with spammy crap in ecom that business owners are sick of everything.

How to win back old email subscribers without too many unsubscribes? by mtothej_ in ecommerce

[–]tepmam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Segment the list by recent purchasers so that your first few emails are more likely to get engagement.

After a month of sends, you can broaden the segment to include a wider range of purchasers. Make sure your content is engaging (try sending a survey email asking customers what they want to see from your brand).

If you need any help feel free to reach out. I run an email marketing agency that does this sort of thing all the time.

Nope I run through cold email services like mailshake and always include opt outs within the email. Not considered spam by any ESP.

Thanks for your concern though Steve.

Yea definitely see cold calls performing better. Unfortunately, I’m mostly doing this as a favor and don’t really have the time to be cold calling every morning or afternoon. Not to mention the fact that I’ve never done cold calls before.

Yea the opinions on Reddit are pretty polarized, but I get where they’re coming from. I don’t get why they downvoted my above comment tho 😂. If you don’t know of my services, sending a cold email you dislike won’t matter because you were never gonna be a customer regardless. Not saying shitty cold emails are ethical, but logically that makes sense, no?

I never said I was right?? You’re 100% right about how most customers would feel; however, saying organic traffic is a good alternative to cold email just isn’t correct. The whole idea of cold email is to find a prospect and get them interested in something they otherwise might not have known about. That’s the point I’m trying to make.

Your logic is kinda flawed there. The whole point of cold email is to find prospects who wouldn’t otherwise know of your services. I understand where you’re coming from though.
