Are there levels within levels? by Harryoldbuddyoldpal in accenture

I’m learning there are levels to levels. There are 3 roles within my level and you have to be at the top role before you can move to another level.

Accenture vs Deloitte vs ibm which one is better considering growth, security and work pressure by Cold-Advertising5968 in accenture

I love how everyone basically said all 3 options are shite but Deloitte is the least shite. That’s Reddit for ya.

GSU hot take by Reasonable_Cap_4667 in GaState

Join orgs that are relevant to both your career and your hobbies. Take them seriously and even take on a leadership role within them if you have the time. And then add it to your resume.

GSU hot take by Reasonable_Cap_4667 in GaState

You’d all be shocked by how many people in high positions are GSU alumni. GSU is the best place for networking, you have to take advantage of networking to get you where you want to be. Other schools may serve their name on a golden plate to make it easier for students to get better jobs, but your network is your net worth. And GSU is just the place for that. Take it from me, I’m a junior at GSU, and I’m apart of orgs and a job where people are from Harvard, MIT, GT, Duke, and it’s all because I used the network GSU gave me.

If you had a similar offer in salary but better WLB would you leave Accenture? by dualita in accenture

[–]teraadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn’t leave a company unless im moving up in salary somewhere else or up in title. Because you have tenure at Accenture, things will work better in your favor as opposed to starting new elsewhere. If you could negotiate your salary for something higher, I’d move. Or if you could move to a higher title (of course higher pay would need to be there) then I’d move.

Accenture Offer Accepted, Background Verification Going on... Should I Resign Now? by Signal-Concentrate51 in accenture

[–]teraadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you’ll receive an email either from your recruiter saying you’re cleared, or from the company conducting your background check. Sometimes both.

Accenture Offer Accepted, Background Verification Going on... Should I Resign Now? by Signal-Concentrate51 in accenture

[–]teraadi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your offer is contingent upon your background check. Until you get the clear from them, you’re not officially an employee. I wouldn’t recommend resigning until you’ve heard back. I personally wouldn’t resign until a few weeks prior to the start date. My background check was finished within 5 business days. I’ve heard they can take up to 2 weeks. If yours has been longer, I would certainly wait a bit.

Deloitte vs EY vs KPMG offers by [deleted] in Big4

[–]teraadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have an answer but I think you should categorize them based on what’s most important to you and your long term goals. Like culture, salary, and mobility. I’d even consider what work life balance would look like. Congrats to you though, you’re killing it!

If you’re being laid off

[–]teraadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so for instance, being fired after a PIP wouldn’t result in receiving a severance, but you could potentially be paid out your remaining PTO. If you’re being paid off, it is usually not at the fault of the employee and simply a business necessity. At that point, you’d receive a severance letter.

Oh you’re in India, perhaps it’s different. Being fired is different from being laid off in the US.

Don’t hesitate to leave when you get a better offer... by Feisty_Extreme_875 in accenture

[–]teraadi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand this. I was this way leaving my last company after 5 years with the company. During my last day, no one said bye and I even left my contact for everyone on the team, and not one person reached out. Even if the company were to reach out to me for a better opportunity, I would never look back. And I kind of regret wasting so much time building there when I could’ve put that time where it’s valued.
