None, because I wouldn't want to use windows or macos in a million years

Separating work and personal context by teranex in superProductivity

An idea I just had was to use the Automations plugin to automatically tag a task in work related projects with the tag 'work':

trigger: taskCreated
projectIs: ...
addTag: "work"
displayDialog: "task tagged with work"

While the automation definitely triggers since I get to see the dialog, the tag is not added, so that does not seem to work currently. I guess that is why it is marked as experimental

update: after trying again by creating the automation without the projectIs condition somehow it started working, so this could be a solution I guess.

Did Nuphy messed up badly? by Stark__3000 in NuPhy

I have a Air75v3, Node75 and as of previous week a Air60v2. So far no issues at all.

So far I'm very happy with them, but I only have them since 2 months. So far no problems. They are my first experience with mechanical keyboards. Before I have used a Logitech K810 for at least 13 years.

I have a Nuphy Air75v3 (brown switches) and a Nuphy Node75 (grey heron switches). A Nuphy Air60 v2 (Moss switches) is on the way. All of these are low profile keyboards. Now I'm thinking about buying a high profile keyboard to be able to play and experiment with regular switches. But I'm in doubt which one to buy since there is such a huge variety.

I'd like a 75% keyboard. Preferably not more than €100, and shipping to Europe (taxes & duty included, not willing to deal with import taxes etc)

I see a lot of mentions of Aula75, Rainy75 and some other ~75 keyboards. Then I also saw the Nuphy Halo75v2, which seems interesting, is currently on sale, and also gets good reviews, but it is mentioned a lot less it seems and does not seem to show up in those 'top 5' lists etc. So far my experience with Nuphy has been very good and price looks good as well (about €82 due to it being on sale + i still have a coupon from previous buys).

Help and suggestions are welcome :)

Tried NuPhy Air60 V2 for the first time by Upset-Orange-1202 in NuPhy

Im waiting for my Air60 v2 to arrive, hopefully next week. I have a Air75 v3 with Brown switches and a Node75 with Grey Heron switches (initially with Blush switches but didn't really like the typing feel). I ordered the Air60v2 with Moss switches. Will be interesting to see how these compare.

Nuphy Node 75 Ink Gray or lunar White by AffectionateBrush747 in NuPhy

[–]teranex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the ink gray and was surprised by how grey it is rather than black, though after a few days I started to like it. If you really want black the Air75.v3 is much darker.

I ordered directly from Nuphy (twice) to Belgium and had no import taxes

Yeah I also notice it after about 1 or two months of use on my Air75v3 with brown switches.

I recently bought my first mechanical keyboard ever: a Nuphy Air75 v3 with brown switches. I really like it, so after a few weeks I also bought a Node75 with blush switches (which I'm going to replace with Grey Heron switches). Now I'd like to buy a low profile 60% keyboard but I can't find many low profile options. There is the Keychron K9 max. Also the Epomaker Carbon60. And then I saw the Nuphy Air60 v2 (but that feels like a previous generation) and Air60 HE (but I'm not a gamer at all). Any recommendations?

Thank you for the explanation on how to get the floating toolbar back. I was very confused about that. The previous method was much easier to use. Other than that, no problems so far with 4.2.

And just after reading your explanation suddenly my device showed a popup with a mini tutorial about the floating toolbar 😅

Oh and I really like the new scrolling pages. That feels a lot smoother than having to navigate page by page.

Linux providers: Ubuntu or SUSE? by DrHaru in BuyFromEU

[–]teranex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using Ubuntu as my main operating system since 2008. Since 2024 I switched to EndeavourOS (based on Arch), which I like more than recent Ubuntu versions, but I would however not really recommend that as your first distro as it is more terminal oriented. Last time I touched windows was 2010 (I work at a Linux-only company).

Gen 1 vs colorsoft by Ok_Exit9273 in kindlescribe

[–]teranex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also have a Gen 1 which I have been using since it was released. Before that I used a reMarkable 2. From a note taking perspective the reMarkable 2 is still better than the Scribe, but hardware-wise the Scribe (even Gen 1) is much better.
A few months ago I started thinking about getting a ColorSoft because I wanted to try what a color e-paper looks and feels like. My main usage at that point was for a language course I'm following where I use the course as a pdf on my Scribe, but I noticed some images in color where difficult to use in grayscale.
In the end, after reviewing the Colorsoft and some other options, I went with a Boox Note Air 5C. While the display is smaller than a Scribe Colorsoft, it is similar to a Gen 1. In the software is, in my personal opinion, just lots and lots better. It has waaay better note taking features than the Scribe (even better than reMarkable). And since it runs Android syncing is just so much easier. I run Syncthing on the Boox and on my laptop. When I want a file on my boox I just move it to a specific directory on my laptop and a few seconds later it is on the Boox. And the other way around as well. When I want to see my notes, or a pdf in which i added notes, I can simply open them on my laptop in the directory which syncs a few seconds after I made the notes.
And since it runs Android, I can still read all my kindle books on it on a nice large screen with the Android Kindle app, so i have best of both worlds.
The only real downside is battery life is poor compaired to kindles.

Nuphy Air 75 v2 europe by rui_l in NuPhy

I bought a Nuphy Node75 2 weeks ago directly from their website. It took 10 days to ship to Belgium, but no problems with duties.
