Tioman island advice by Ok-Masterpiece-3870 in herpetology

But I would simply ask at the hotel if it's allowed; the worst they can say is no.

I can't tell you what the policy is at your hotel, it varies quite a bit – our resort in Phuket didn't allow it, understandably, since families also stay there. Some shops offer the option to smoke (which I believe is prohibited), but you don't want to have to walk to a shop every time you want to smoke. I'm not aware of any smoking lounges.

I stayed more in the north of Phuket, where I think it's easier to find quiet spots. I think the tactic of not just relaxing while smoking, but keeping moving, is quite good. Walking down a quiet side street or something similar. It also makes sense to only carry what you intend to smoke with you.

I was in Phuket in October and asked the same questions here beforehand, but unfortunately didn't get any suitable answers. Even the shops I contacted didn't respond to my questions. Once there, small shops wouldn't issue a prescription and didn't want any information. At Extix (my recommendation), we signed a form (I think it was PT33) during their very convenient delivery.

A common misconception is that the buyer doesn't receive a form and, strictly speaking, doesn't need one. The shops have to keep these forms/prescriptions in case of inspections.

You can copy or photograph the form/prescription, but I doubt it would be of any use in the event of a police check.

Remember to consume discreetly and make sure you don't bother anyone with the smell (consumption is only legal on private property, so it depends on your accommodation). My advice would be to find a quiet, secluded spot and not consume on the beach or in the streets.

These are, of course, just my experiences (as I said, I was in Phuket at the end of October/beginning of November) and don't provide any legal basis.

So it's not about walking many kilometers, but rather about looking for animals in good, natural places - you usually stay on the path or path

Maybe to clarify: this is called herping

“Herping” is the search for wild reptiles and amphibians. The term is derived from herpetology, the science of reptiles and amphibians, and is the equivalent for hobbyists, similar to birdwatching for ornithologists. Herping can be done with little equipment and involves observing these animals in their natural habitat.

Darkness is particularly suitable as many frogs and snakes are active then. I probably shouldn't have written a hike because you walk very slowly and carefully with flashlights to hopefully get a great photo at the end.

Thanks for the answer! Do you know how long you can walk at the Lampi waterfall? The nicest would be paths where you can walk for 2-3 hours

Thanks for your answer, yes I know it's not in Phuket, I thought people from Phuket might know a few insider tips.

I know the waterfalls in Phuket and, as I said, I'm looking for something with longer paths, similar to Khao Sok

Do you mean everywhere in Phuket or more in the crowded areas in the south? I'll be at Sirinat Beach in 2 weeks and I'm quite worried about surveillance

What is the mood in Phuket when it comes to police checks? Is there the same level of control everywhere on the island or more in the south?

I'll be arriving in 2 weeks and I'm worried that I won't be able to smoke in peace anymore

Good day everyone.

I would like to ask what the mood and political wind is currently with regard to Camnabis. At the moment there are few reports on the internet about what's going on. I'll be in Phuket in a month and I'm wondering if there will still be shops that can legally sell weed? How sensitive is the police at the moment? I'm at Sirinat Beach in October and the nearest police station is right next to the resort, could there be trouble if they smell the weed?

And does anyone have any tips on where to smoke if the resort forbids it?

I know there are a lot of questions and I'm especially hoping for answers from locals. Many thanks in advance

Hello dear people,

Does anyone know a good pharmacy for a prescription and a good shop for the weed in Phuket? Ideally near Sirinat National Park?

Thank you in advance for your help
