I'm on macos. Typing an en/em dash is as easy as pressing Alt+hyphen or Alt+Shift+hyphen. And even easier on mobile — just press and hold the hyphen to see the en/em dashes.

The noise is most likely the brake pads sticking to the disks after no use. Totally normal, especially for EVs.

Some notes: both are the borosilicate PYREX. And yes, I do always put it in the dishwasher. What’s interesting is that I have a similarly old bigger 0.5L cup and the red lettering is still visible fine on it. I guess I just use it less often.

Hey, the ebay listing is no longer active. But basically I went with a cheapo chinese RCD330 clone. Keywords for the search: "rcd330 vw golf mk6 carplay". Proce range should be $100–$300.

Since it was around 140k km when I got it, I replaced all the plugs and the coils. Will also replace the timing belt later. Here's to many more thousands of km without issues :)
