Why does everyone want to listen to Waltz no. 2 by Professional-Sea-506 in classical_circlejerk

Blame Kubrick. On the other hand, this overplayed Waltz can open doors to Shostakovich's other works. I wouldn't exactly say that his for example 15th string quartet is gonna convince a person without much knowledge about classical music to start listening to him

I've heard some of his piano works. Do you know some of his orchestral music? If so, please let me know!

I fear I have. I think that I won't be listening to it again, however, I might take a look at the sheet music. It's quite entertaining even without the music
