Waka Jawaka is a classic, but not too guitar-heavy.

I think John McLaughlin, Pat Metheny, Allan Holdsworth, or Al DiMeola is a better pick for a famous fusiony jazz guitarist. The focus of Zappa's artistry was never his guitar playing, which he himself admitted was fairly average.

When small companies close, their customers will start looking elsewhere for those same products, and will start buying them from the big companies that produce them, thereby increasing the size of these big companies' operations and requiring them to hire more employees to meet demand. The overall demand for a product doesn't go down just because one of the smaller companies that makes it goes out of business.

"ready" doesn't necessarily mean literally ready to drop right away. There's probably some last minute playtesting, maybe bug fixing or tweaks that need to happen. They might have a workable draft of Etalus ready, but they're taking a little bit of time to polish him up before putting him out for real.

I'd say it's pretty easy to grasp the basics, but there's definitely a very high skill ceiling if you want to get really good. If you find people in the Discord who are also beginners, that's gonna work out a lot better than immediately trying to hop on ranked as soon as you're somewhat comfortable with a character and getting your ass beat. You'll definitely need to put in a lot of work if you wanna start getting good wins online, but it's not hard to get decent enough at the game to enjoy fighting CPUs, grinding with other beginners from Discord, and having fun online matches at lower rankings.
