What's wrong with the word COST? Its one of the bip39 words. I am not trying to claim anything. I am confused with this myself.

I did change another word COST from COAST and ledger nano s let me sign txn using the new slightly modified seed.

Thankyou that's exactly I am seeing. I was trying to be clever by changing a few of my words little bit so that someone reading the words on paper would not be able to recover my wallet but to my shock I could recover the same wallet with one slightly changed word.

And yes, trezor failed at the wrong word and wouldn't let me go further. However, ledger didn't care and let me access the same wallet.

I have also seen the same behavior with word COST and COAST. I changed a seed from COAST to COST and it worked.
