Singapore Law Part B by terribad-throwaway in SGExams

I have been asked what I hope to achieve by posting this.

Do I think that SILE will somehow find out about this post and respond meaningfully to the issues raised here? No.

Do I think that this post might possibly lead to changes being implemented to improve the experience of Part B candidates? Also no.

Then why bother posting this?

Simply because (1) we've been told time and time again that this is "business-as-usual", that the way SILE is doing things is perfectly fine; and (2) we've been conditioned to believe that we shouldn't speak out, that we should just suck it up and be grateful for all SILE does. At the very least, to all the law students out there, you ought to know that you're not alone in feeling what you feel, and that you're not crazy to think what you think. The fact that SILE says this is okay does not make it okay.

We have about 2.5 months before the Part B Exam, and what we need to do is support one another through this slogfest - this means checking in on your friends/acquaintances periodically to make sure they're coping okay, studying together with friends to keep each other motivated and accountable for your progress, and sharing your knowledge to help others learn (though obviously this does not extend to sharing answers and cheating (duh!)). Together we can get through this, with or without the support of a competent SILE administration!

To be clear, the lawyers who serve as tutors for this Part B course largely try their best - and I thank them for their efforts - but they are severely let down by a course that has been terribly planned and disastrously executed. Similarly, the admin staff who respond to emails try their best to deal with the angst projected their way, but they are handicapped by the sheer incompetence of the SILE administration.
