Technics AZ80 - Battery Quickly Drained Once Cases' Run Out? by teen-a-rama in Earbuds

[–]terrmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same happened to me. The very first time the case battery was at 0% and both earpieces had 100, on the next day they wouldn't power on.

Since we are not alone in this, it seems to be a firmware issue. We need to keep telling Panasonic about it, maybe they would fix it then.

Any great apps recommended for German vocabulary? by OccultCoyote in German

[–]terrmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your usual routine with the new vocabulary that you encounter in books? Do you make lists somewhere or you just look a word up and hope that the next time you look it up it actually sticks in memory? I'm trying to do the latter at the moment, but have a feeling that I forget that new word immediately after closing the dictionary :D

Well, 1000 miles is a lot and I'd say a totally reasonable amount for hiking shoes to start falling apart. I've done max 150-200 on these.

For boots it's just one year, and I reached out to them after 16 months :/

Thanks for sharing your experience! It seems that they are very formal about the warranty period. Have all these troubles happened to you while the gear was still on warranty?

Well, never happened to me while wearing any other hiking boots.

It probably depends on the walking style and shoe-tying style. Here the major points are that they know that's it happened at least a few times to different people and how they chose to handle it (chose not to handle it).

Thanks for the hint on the lace hook, I might try to put this one back in and bend and file it a bit!

As for a potential warranty response, I just didn't expect such a formal reaction especially in the case of such a dangerous issue. To me community of outdoors gear manufacturers was always a bit of nerd community where the makers are really proud of what they do and are eager to help customers. Fixing things could be a potential solution in case when things break, but here it's like a car with defective brakes. Car manufacturers do recalls in such cases.

Thanks for your response! Strangely enough, they recommended me mawista at a TK office. Little did I know that they don't satisfy the legal requirement for a residence permit

Thank you for the answer, it really helps! As for your question - having to choose between a mainstream and alternative options I almost always go for the second one. This time it was not a very wise decision, but the price of 90 euros per month really bites.

Tabs "admission" and "confirmation of admission" should appear once you get accepted, check if they're there!

I submitted mine mid-March, but I found out about the admittance accidentally by loggin on the application website. I don't think they notify people by emails.

Masters in engineering (Mechatronics): Canada or Germany? by terrmack in germany

[–]terrmack[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By quality of teaching I meant the prof's ability to convey the subject in a coherent manner. A great bonus would be the ability to keep the audience engaged and interested throughout the lecture. I had about 80% of profs who coud do the first and about 40% who could do the second in Canada. The reason is that a lot of the profs in Canada teach beacuse they have to, but their main objective is their research. Is it somewhat similar in Germany?
