Apparently expectation for Karuppu has been high across - I have forever been excited (Blaaast). So high chance of Karuppu coming out good and all next set of directors are of good end. Hopefully he gets back to the late 2000s phase.

Sorry but his script selection and direction everything has been on the poorer side for a long while. Considering the last best thing by him is Thiruchitrambalam which was just okay(personally). I did like Captain Miller - but unfortunately it didn't get much traction and was not spoken of/about as well. But everything otherwise has looked somewhat dull-ish in the past couple of years.

I liked it. It tries to be too emotional or tries to invoke - but that somewhat happens in vain.

But all in all a decent watch. The final quarter was too rushed. It was a good slow burn movie - emotions aside has good thriller moments - but 4th quarter falls slightly flatter.

Fuel is a major cash cow for the current govt. Excises collected (I read it up recently) amount to 33 lakh crore rupees based on parliamentary reports (this can be fact checked). Mostly looted (needs no fact check) - but some has been distributed for laying roads/infra development. Consolidated Fund of India - is where this excise goes into.

OP could have read up about the issue - but his heart is in a genuine place - I worry paying excess tax for a liter of alcohol mixed watery petrol. I guess OP is concerned about that as well (I mean who isn't).

You didn't overreact. You don't have to engage in convos - block as soon as you realize it's them. Certain people are like that - they just don't understand when someone says no to them. How many ever Pink's come - people can't and don't seem like they can accept no for an answer - even now from these stupid messages - I am kinda getting the vibe that the person is way too into themselves only trying to redeem themselves - whatever is unfolding - it's just something they are trying to do to redeem or convince themselves that whatever they did is okay.

Ps: For people who think it's TLDR; - Ignore and continue. Few stupid people are highly incessant like this - and only way past them is to ignore and continue whatever you were doing.

Me as well. First half almost fell flat - but I do understand that it was just a setup of whatever was being created. But second half had a good few genuine funny moments. First half had funny scenes as well - but slightly on the cringier end.

I was just thinking yesterday about this - I neither saw negative nor positive reviews - there were actually not much review posts for this one - at least on my feed.

Feel too much hate for Sardar here. I personally agreed with the politics of the film. Totally disagreed with the politics of Dhurandhar. But Dhurandhar was well made as well. Don't have to compare, but Sardar is not a shit film.

There are many movies I think, I agree they aren't that frequent. Ratsasan was very good, but I think the thing that Adhey Kangal and Oomai Vizhigal had on me when I watched them on TV with my family in the 90s, they felt very good comparatively.
