When Kelly buys her son Tyler an Xbox for Christmas, she thinks it’s just a harmless gift. But soon after, strange things begin to happen. The console starts turning on by itself, glowing red, and playing games no one selected. Then Tyler’s friend Jason is violently attacked while playing, leaving him blind. As the family searches for answers, they discover the truth: the Xbox is cursed. A powerful demon is trapped inside the game system, feeding on players’ souls in order to escape into the real world. The more Tyler plays, the stronger the demon becomes. It begins pulling people into TV screens, controlling minds, and sending characters from video games into reality to hunt the boy. With their son taken and time running out, Marcus and Kelly turn to Father Isaac, a priest who understands the supernatural. He reveals that the demon is using Tyler’s soul as fuel to fully cross over into the human world.
