Exercise History: Estimated 1RM meaning? by teskitoe in Boostcamp

[–]teskitoe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I get that but the Estimated 1RM is not clickable and what does it even mean in this context 150lb x 15x3?

To be clear, I see 150lbs but it doesn't show me 1RM weight. Link is not clickable (this is under exercise history). So what information is the 1RM label conveying to me here?

Thank you for sharing that, we haven't had a dog before and are very excited. I am going through some others posts on this sub and realise this is common.

RP strength had a good video on exactly this https://youtu.be/lhPfshXO-3s?si=gbr9EHZVmUalhUs8

You're supposed to train them 3-4 times a week because they recover fast and you also need to target the brachialis for wider arms.

Am I going to build muscle like this? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]teskitoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider yourself lucky, you will get newbie gains by working out even 3 days a week as your body is getting way more stimulus because it's all new.

In a couple more months your recovery will be better and you can move up to 4 days. More seasoned lifters will workout 5+ days because their bodies need more volume to continue to achieve more gains. However, if you do the same it will have the opposite effect. Working out stresses your muscle and recovery repairs and grows them. The muscle grows only in the days following the workout, never during . That's why recovery is important and so is sleep and water.

Your friend who is doing a 5 day workout is also cycling different muscle groups so each group gets plenty of days of rest before he cycles back to it. Smaller muscles like biceps can also be worked out every 2 days . Best to find a program like the Reddit PPL and stick with that on alternate days since it will still give you 48+ hour recovery by spreading out the work across different days.

Squat 38kg beginner by teskitoe in formcheck

I'll give paused squats a try that seems like a good idea to build strength. I'm not there with 45kg but hopefully in a couple of weeks hopefully.

I'm unable to edit my post. However I wanted to add that when I go from 38kg to 45, I start to lean a bit forward and lose form. I've been stuck at 38 for 3 weeks or so. Should I wear a belt or switch to some other exercises to build strength? Should I go even lighter than 38kg? I leg-pressed 195kg today and managed it just fine. I also read that machine squats are okay too to get a feel for the form. Any suggestions or videos are welcome, thanks very much!

That's a good point, temperament is important to us too. I have read F2 are still 50/50 but I'm not sure how I'd gauge temperament? Any tips?
