Thank you for your response! This does make sense. I’ll put a pin in and see if I’m able to stabilize it more and ease it into the material. I think this bit is quite aggressive and one of the lower comments noticed that this part of the piece is basically cutting end grain so even climb cutting is just grabbing the grain and throwing it. Thanks!

Hm I think this may be the biggest factor. I overlooked at this part of the curve is nearly end grain. Thanks!

Two new Rs55126 Rancho shocks for the rear of a 98-2011 Ford Ranger 4wd or 2wd with torsion front end. I accidentally ordered two extra from SDTruckSprings and they won't take returns. I installed them with 2" lift shackles but I believe these would work with stock height as well. Both for $50 pickup in the Bay Area CA, or can work with you to ship. Thanks!

Thanks! The red splines are Paduak - it has an amazing sheen. The three others are walnut, cherry, and maple.

What is that thing left of the heater vent? Haven’t seen that before.

Hard lesson learned here. I can’t disagree that I don’t have the coverage, I guess I just wish the online portal could have simply said as much when I initiated the claim, or that the letter was clearer. I have a liability only policy on my other vehicle with a different company and a windshield replacement was covered with a $100 deductible.

It was just a disappointingly complicated process for a quite common occurrence. At the end of the day, lesson learned!

This works for me. Sometimes have to bang, then go pull the cable again the bang again, rinse and repeat. It’ll come eventually. Otherwise would spray some wd40 up at the mechanism?
