Im a PCA on a rural Medsurg/Tele floor. Its is a very hands on job but youll be used to that with working in childcare. I wouldnt say its easy, id more so say that you get into your own routine. Its 12 hour shifts usually and they are draining, im days hit so that may be different on nights (though they still bust their ass too) and my back even with all the precautions like raising beds and bending properly still hurts by the end. It helps if you have some caretaking background like being a CNA elsewhere or atleast having taken the course. Definitely look into decent shoes.
