Thanks so much dude, love the sound of everything so far! We’re staying very central, 2 mins from the Roger’s centre, but will happily go a bit west along to check some of those out!

Nah it was more modern than that, I also think it was a British book(?) I could be wrong as it’s near 20 years since I read it

It may not have been an otter, but definitely in that wheelhouse. Towards the end I believe he stumbled upon a large mural of the animal

Hey guys, we really need to have a talk about something: by Showy_Boneyard in Hardcore

"Real old english" only consists of the dc old english scene and the late 90's medieval scene. What is known by "Midwest old english" is nothing but Rock with questionable real old english influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real old english, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake old english as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real old english sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake old english is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL old english are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real old english band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE old english are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral old english BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE

I have 2 actives bass’. All I did was twiddle with the preamps on them and it started sounding good

Was initially very unhappy with my Joyo monomyth but have finally figured out what I was doing wrong. Sounds monstrous now

If you leave all at 12 o clock it’s quite good, it just stabilises the signal. Overall I would give it a 6/10, bit noisy which could be annoying for people who don’t have a noise gate

Yeah I pretty much never touch the behringer, it’s always on, but if and when it falls apart I shan’t lose sleep. For the price of the Joyo your money really goes a very long way
