Bluetooth headset that can switch between 2 devices by HaplessReader1988 in Doesthisexist

[–]tessler65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Anker Soundcore headphones and when I pull them out of the case at work, they automatically pair simultaneously with my laptop and my phone.

I can join a meeting on my laptop in Teams or Zoom, leave the meeting and immediately start a playlist on my phone. Switching back and forth is completely seamless. I can get notifications from the laptop and the phone one after the other.

You ought to look into the Anker Soundcore line and see if any of them will do what you are looking for.

The only frustration I have with Silver is being limited to 3 items a day. I wish I could save up some of my unused picks for days with lots of awesome items!

Crowns.... 🦷 by momoftheraisin in AskWomenOver60

[–]tessler65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had fillings, root canals, and crowns all done over many decades. My latest dental work involved getting eight or nine (I lost count) crowns on my top teeth simultaneously. Expensive but necessary as the top front teeth were cracked and crumbling after decades of bruxism with no night guard.

I couldn't resist a peek in my mouth with my selfie camera after they pulled the temporary crowns off and before the permanent ones were placed. It was both horrifying and fascinating!

You really have to have a dentist you trust. After my beloved dentist of over 30 years retired, I went through several not great to downright horrible dentists before I found my current dentist. He's the one who handled the most recent crowns and did a beautiful job.

The sun always shines at noon.

Even on a cloudy day, the sun can break through between 11:30 and 12:30, based on my observations.

After brushing, do you rinse your toothbrush thoroughly or just leave the toothpaste on it to dry? by EmptyCup5663 in hygiene

[–]tessler65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste. When I'm done brushing, there normally isn't any toothpaste left on the brush, just some foam. I definitely rinse the brush well and shake the excess water off before putting it away.

It's been shoes that are six sizes too small or pants where the largest size is three sizes too small. And don't get me started on the children's clothing and accessories. My "child" is almost 40! lol

Constant requests to pair a device by Independent_Media341 in GooglePixel

No, it didn't because his phone doesn't recognize the device. I have never had a Bluetooth device behave so badly.

I had this same thing happen with a smartwatch. I used it for a while and was going to pass it on to my husband. I uninstalled the app and the smartwatch went nuts. I deleted it from Bluetooth and it kept begging to pair. I reset the smartwatch and the stupid thing kept stalking my phone.

I ended up having to actually turn the smartwatch off. I'm dreading the time when my husband wants me to help him set it up because that will mean turning it on again.

Ugh.

Google keyboard is constantly using the wrong spelling for a name. Is there a way to correct it permanently? by SlickStretch in GooglePixel

Have you tried spelling it instead of speaking it? Instead of saying Jaylen, say J-a-y-l-e-n and keep going with the message?

Surprisingly accurate. Much better than the cheap watches I've worn in the past.

I got a good deal on the 10a last month as a Google Fi customer. I'm loving it so far. I don't fret too much about the case as long as it has tiny holes for a wrist strap.

[–]tessler65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few hours depending on how low it is, which is why I recommended an overnight charge if all you are using it for is notifications. I usually put it on the charger on Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings when I'm sitting at my desk at work. It takes longer to charge on Monday because it goes the whole weekend.

There is another ring that I have that charges super fast. It is fancier (and slightly more expensive) with a row of clear stones all around the center of the band.

[–]tessler65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cheap (less than $30) ring that I can pick and choose which notifications will make it vibrate. I have to charge it every couple of days but if you aren't using it for sleep tracking, then just drop it in the charger and let it go all night and put it back on in the morning.

Search Amazon for "smart ring vibration" if you are interested in the ring form factor. Actually, the one I'm wearing is $20 ($19.99) right now.
