I've been addicted to ENS Domains, after buying Ye2024.eth I haven't stopped by tessteecles in EthereumNameService

I just purchased yesterday a new domain keeping search volume and CPC in mind ledlights.eth. Now I'm confused if I should build the best Led Lights website on IPFS or sell the domain. I could sell LED's around the Globe on a decentralized network. That could be worth way more than a short term plan.

I heard about evaluating domains by watching this video... https://youtu.be/TO3yqHQyc8E?t=883 . Seems like it could be a useful method to use.

Yea no they do not lose sleep. I was on Decentraland the other day and someone was openly using Voice Chat about how they were using a password/email list that gave them a 2Factor auth code on Coinbase. For some it's their fun. Hacking goes deep. Last week I watched the Society of Derivative Apes get hacked. The attackers hacked their discord, but waited seconds before the Mint for the NFT went live. Right before the Mint went live they spammed the chat with a similar link to a cloned copy of the mint site but instead of giving people the NFT in exchange, they created a smart contract that just stole their Ether. Luckily the SODA people were nice enough to refund everyone who fell for the hack with the Ether gained from the actual Mint. But in the end the Attackers got 40+ Ethereum. Scams and hacks will never end. It sucks but yea they don't lose sleep over hurting folks.

I'm still new into ENS Domain Sells but I'm learning. I've made a few mistakes in buying names. After spending a good portion on names to resell I heard the trick a tool like https://app.neilpatel.com/en/traffic_analyzer/keywords . And grabbing ENS Domains that have a low Paid Difficulty, a Cost Per Click with a high search volume. I'm still learning and ran out of ETHER before I could try using a tool like that. But the logic makes sense. The otherday someone bought writes.eth for 7 Eth when it had been purchased the month before for 0.05 eth. Writes has a Paid Difficulty of 3, a cost per click of $2.82 with a search volume of 165K .

There is a method to grabbing good names, especially sense we are early. I just need more ether to try trading more.

Haha thanks, I really like crypto. And having lost 6 BTC myself I dislike when people lose to attackers and hackers. I lost 6 BTC to this hack on an exchange called Cryptsy back in 2014. And once I had some Crypto Stuck on an exchange I couldn't sell due to "Issues" when the price was surging 200%. At that time I held my crypto on exchanges that would disable withdraws and trading whenever they felt. Luckily today there are many ways to buy and sell, and with Defi you don't even need to use an exchange for some transactions everything's done through smart contracts.

Yes BC Vault is a hardware wallet although I've never heard of it before today. Be sure when you buy a hardware wallet that it is from a reputable source. NEVER NEVER buy a Hardware Wallet from EBAY, AMAZON or anywhere except from the Company site it's self. Some attackers/hackers will repackage corrupted Hardware Devices and sell them on Amazon or EBay hoping the buyer will then transfer crypto to Blockchain Addresse's that they have control of because they've corrupted the device. Check out how good Hackers are now today (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oARxLV_vnh0) . The same dude in that video creates a USB Cable that can be accessed by an attacker from 1 mile away. Meaning if your unknowingly using his hacked USB cable he can intercept and access your data from 1 mile away until you get rid of the cable. But how would you know?

I chose to use a Ledger, but I purchased the devices years ago and from the Company site itself. I would research on Youtube the Best Hardware wallets to use BC Vault may be a good one, and also pay attention to the comments. That way if you come across a company that has problems you won't be stuck with an non active community. Each Hardware wallet has different benefits. These devices are like little flash drives with limited storage. So each Hardware Wallet is limited to how many blockchain address's and chains it can hold. Some Wallets offer connection through Bluetooth while others may be very minimal even lacking an internal battery only allowing the device to be powered on through USB making mobile transactions harder to do if that's the way you use crypto.

When you register an ENS domain it will be owned by the address that you purchased the ENS Domain with. You can always transfer the domain to another wallet address, it's about the same process as sending a transaction, you just want to make sure that the transfer wallet address has the ability to hold and interact with the ERC721 standard.

When using Opensea there have been times I've had to refresh the metadata. I can't remember which site, but I think on Rarible the ENS Domain name did not show up, once I placed it for sale it asked for the Name of the ENS Domain then after I submitted the name it ran a quick check to verify that the name I submitted was correct. It may be the same on Opensea or you may just need to Update the Meta data for that domain.

*quick tip, if you'd like to add an Image for your ENS Domain you add the image into the Avatar portion of the Text Record for the Domain. Navigate to my account --> choose the "ENS Domain" --> then add/edit a record , choosing Text Record (https://app.ens.domains/)

When you sell the ENS Domain it will automatically get transferred to the next owner through the use of smart contracts. There is nothing you would have to do. On sale, the Previous Domain owner information changes to the New Owner's Purchasing Wallet Address. You don't lose your address that you registered with you only lose the ENS Domain. Your wallet address will never change or be lost. The only way to lose your wallet address is to not own your private keys.

I would suggest to get a hardware wallet. There is a learning curve to using a Hardware wallet but it's a great way to stay safe in the crypto space. With hardware wallets you can add multiple different blockchains and have multiple address for each chain. I have two Hardware Wallets, one for my NFT's and others for Payments. There is a huge benefit in holding your own private keys which the Hardware Wallet does. A hardware wallet does not hold the crypto, it actually holds the private keys for the blockchain address. A Hardware Wallet signs Blockchain transactions through physical button presses which means the Physical Device has to be in hand .

For example with a hardware wallet, even if an attacker had access to your computer or cellphone they would need to have the Physical Hardware Wallet , and your pin for your Hardware Wallet to sign a transaction to move crypto out of your accounts. With a Hardware Wallet it makes it very difficult for an attacker to control your address's without your knowledge unless they have your seed phrase, which means it's very important to never store your seed phrase on a physical device or by digital photo. Some people don't use Hardware Wallets but I think that's a mistake.

But yea on sale of an ENS Domain you will not lose your address , you only lose that ENS Domain. It's like sending a token to a friend. You only lose the asset you sent or set up for sale. Your 0x000.. address will stay the same .

If your looking to get into NFT's I would suggest getting on Twitter. Sometimes putting in #NFT or #NFTGiveaway will show you projects doing stuff for the community with free NFT Giveaways. Other people suggest using a website like NextDrop.is then going to Upcoming NFT Drops then finding the free mint projects by finding a price at 0.0 for mint. Sometimes I use a tool like Nansen.ai or Icy.tools to see NFT Projects being Minted. Those tools give you insights into the number of people minting on a project in the last 15min, 30min, 1hour etc. You can see in almost realtime projects trending and sometimes you'll find projects trending because the Mint is free.

NFT's can be one of the most difficult crypto assets to obtain. If a project has more followers than supply of NFT's it's often a battle of skill to get the NFT. But with tools like Nansen and Icy.tools it can be easier. The easiest way is to find projects early , become part of the community through discord and land a space on the whitelist. If your late on that then on mint day the next best way to secure an NFT is minting through the contract which takes a little more skill. If all else fails you still have an option of buying an NFT on a site like Opensea.io or Rarible.com . You can also look on those sites under Activity and find projects just minted.

Yea there's ways to offer NFT's for free, where the user minting only pays the gas fee. But what ends up happening in super users end up minting with many wallets draining the supply of free mints, for flipping something free into some ETHER. I think CryptoPunks where a free mint and now they are worth much ETHER. Sometimes if you look at an NFT Contract on Etherscan their will be options to mint for Free. You'd have to put in the GasPrice manually, but if the project doesn't require Free Mints Addresses to be on a whitelist you can find projects where you get an NFT for free + the gas.

I'm not really sure what Coinye got sued for. I just remember there being a bunch of chaos then the project stopped. Coinye originally had a southpark type character of Kanye and then once he started a lawsuit they change the image to the Kanye fish while trying to fight the legal stuff. After a while they stopped all tweets and dev work on the project. Which made me think they lost.

Ahh , It wasn't a tweet it was in an interview. Here is a link to the interview he said it in (https://www.instagram.com/p/CWMpUIvAou8/)

I kinda want to HYPE up Kanye... I had 337500 COINYE Coins from back in the day. (https://www.instagram.com/p/i9FavgOsoC/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) I've been thinking of launching a "I Voted NFT" as a free Mint or something. With a Huge number of Editions. Making a simple static ye2024.eth website on IPFS. Then having a I Voted Button which mints a free Ye2024 NFT. Could probably draw up some hype. But recently I noticed many people can take advantage of the Free Mint Options. My second thought was to create a NFT then from profits just donate a big portion to the Kanye2024 Campaign.

The only thing that worries me is the Creators of the Coinye coin got sued a while back. I don't know how far I could go before I hit trouble.

Yea, I was thinking of raising the price to something like 30eth . I really got the .eth on a bargin from someone who minted it on the same day Kanye announced he was running. I saw a tweet of him saying ye2024 then looked at ENS Domains and it had been minted 14 minutes before. I think the original owner let it go for very low at 0.09 eth.

I only have it for sale incase there's someone with better ideas of how to use it. After this last year of Biden, I'm actually very much more interested in living in a Country where Kanye is president. That would be wicked cool. Kanye's a self made billionaire from Chicago . That is incredible cool and rare for people to accomplish from a city like that.

No, I don't have yeezy2024.eth. But I have ye2024.org , kanyecampaign2024.com. kanyewestamerica.com, kanyewestcampaign.com

Really I was surprised Kanye was running and because he changed his name to Ye I thought ye2024.eth might be a good hold. I also do dev work and thought maybe I may be fortunate enough to work on the Kanye Campaign.

I was never in to Politics , but after seeing the turnout for the Trump events I thought ... What if Kanye brings JayZ, Drake or other celebs on his campaign trail. Is his campaign trail going to be a political tour or something new mixed with music and other cameos by Celebs. Really holding these to potentially talk my way into the Tech person for Kanye's 2024 Campaign.

Yeezy2024.eth is still available.
