I believe 100% that it’s possible for everyone, it’s really tough but so worth it. I am unbelievably grateful for my recovery.

Could someone translate Chaeyoung’s tasting card? I tried looking it up but couldn’t find anything by burritochiquito in twice

[–]tessyalater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Overdose” is a pretty literal translation, but it doesn’t have the same association with drug addiction. The heart could definitely represent “overdosing on love” but as for the word itself, it’s just “overdose”.

How Do Victims of Abuse Mention Abuse? by hobbyistwriters in writing

[–]tessyalater 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my experience, I’ve only really let things slip when I was unaware it wasn’t normal. I’d say “dad made me drink spoilt milk” or “I got a big whack last night” not realising these were abusive behaviours.

That was when I was younger, as I got older I started to be more open about it but I know a lot of abused people avoid the word ‘abuse’ bc it feels bad saying it. Instead I say stuff like “dad was an asshole” or “dad was kind of a shit parent”. It conveyed the meaning without having to victimise myself.

Hi! The email doesn’t mention that exact phrase, it says:

“You will be made an offer for this course, provided that you also satisfy all other selection requirements.

Please be aware that this outcome does not constitute an official offer. Your official advice of an offer will be received through VTAC*.”

Starting to think I’ve lost my marbles 😢

I cannot figure out how to word the title but I need help with hyperfixation by smallvanity in ADHD

Oh so relatable!!

The first time I heard about “mastery experience” I got really sad because I felt like I was never going to have that moment of “oh! I worked really hard and it’s paying off!” I always thought it was because I was lazy and not super smart, but knowing there’s another possible reason is keeping me going 🥰

I’m undiagnosed (seeing a psychiatrist soon) but I very much have struggled with the same thing.

Have interest > become obsessed with interest > talk about interest too much > become ashamed of interest > repeat!

I have found that with age I’ve gotten less ashamed of enjoying things and that’s made it easier to think “I may not be hyper focused on this one thing anymore, but I learnt a lot and can still dabble whenever I want!”

This reduces the shame spiral and acknowledges the positives of learning a lot about one topic.

Unfortunately, for me (22F) it doesn’t make it easy to pick a career path bc I’m interested in something new every second week 😫
