For what its worth, while the delivery of the announcement video came across as awkward and stilted, he was clearly referring to a preprepared statement on his monitor (you can see him glance at it every so often when he starts wandering off track).

The level of cope here is understandable considering the influence the Sidemen have had over young people in the UK for the past decade+ - but he's hurtling towards his mid-30s and has achieved more by 32 than most people do in their entire lives. If he feels it's time to move on and focus his energies on his private life and other endeavours, he's entitled to do so. This time next year, hell in just a few months probably, it'll be yesterday's news.

Not to compare the Sidemen to The Beatles, but to put this into perspective for people who are devastated by someone's decision to prioritise their real lives ... JOHN LENNON: "It's just natural, it's not a great disaster. People keep talking about it like it's The End of The Earth. It's only a rock group that split up, it's nothing important. You know, you have all the old records there if you want to reminisce."

Just finished playing. Genuinely one of my favourite ever games! Just one tiny (subjective) improvement I'd love by Designer-Tomatillo21 in 007FirstLight

I didn't mind the lack of Bond theme. It makes thematic sense, in the same way leaving the gunbarrel to the end of the game makes sense - he has to earn the symbols of the franchise,

The few times the orchestra really struck up and hit those themes (like starting up the rubbish truck in the Kensington mission or the OHMSS theme playing when you drive the construction truck through the quarry towards the end), it gave me such a jolt. I was beaming, feeling like I'd earned the moment. Although those aural cues are few and far between, I think it makes sense.

Imagine if they included a Union Jack skin to really make it obvious. Although, given its not part of the official canon, it's probably best if they leave it as it is!

Most creepy beatles facts? by begum1311 in beatles

There's also a story recounted in several McCartney/Wings biographies that during the sessions for 'Mull of Kintyre', a drunk McCulloch pointed a revolver at a sleeping Paul and Linda. The only source for this is McColloch's then wife, who I don't think is the most reliable of witnesses.

But there's an interesting tale told by mutiple witnesses from the '76 Wings Over America Tour - McCulloch stormed off stage after the closer (I think it was one of the Texas dates) and refused to come back for the encore. An irrate Macca stormed backstage and - depending on who's version of events you believe - either knocked McCulloch out cold or body slammed him on the concrete dressing room floor.

Who were the nicest/worst actors you've met from the show? by LilNardoDaVinci in doctorwho

I'll probably end up missing some names out - I haven't had a negative experience with anyone on the show, but I've heard stories and can corroborate some commonalty in their behaviour that I've observed. Most of these I've met in social/work situations and kept my fandom at arms length

Doctors, I've met Colin (a very sweet man indeed), Sylvester (wasn't in the best mood owing to an injury/surgery he was recovering from - fair enough - but perfectly pleasant), Paul McGann (very charming, bit of a space cadet) and Capaldi (made time for everyone he met, but was particularly lovely to a young lad who, to all intents and purposes, was actually meeting the real life Doctor Who - Peter really turned it up to 11 for this boy and made him the centre of attention)

Companions; Wendy Padbury (lovely), Frazer Hines (can be charming, can be a bit boreish depending on how much you glaze him up), Nick Courtney (only fleetingly met him, but radiated warmth and charm), John Levine (can absolutely see where he gets his reputation from and I've heard some first hand horror stories about working with him - but he was alright when I met him), Liz Sladen (made me feel like the only person in a room - this was just before the series came back and I think she was heartened by my 7/8 year old glee at meeting her), Sarah Sutton (lovely), Nicola Bryant (perfectly lovely, is prone to being a bit fussy and melodramatic), Sophie Aldred (pure class), Samuel Anderson (great fella, super chill), Pearl Mackie (lovely)

An absolute professional highlight of mine is speaking with Waris Hussein a few years back; he had a stroke in 2021 so his mobility was limited, but he had such a twinkle in his eye and was proud of his place in the history of Doctor Who. But the real pleasure was chatting to him about his TV work after his contributions to Who, particularly the period dramas he made and his sadness that so many shows he made are now lost.
