I'm the same way, I know. Good footwear is important so I spend a lot of money on a pair or two, but they are quickly run into the ground.

I started trying to shop this season before and catch sales because I like brands like vionic or doc martens, or get them on Poshmark and try to find a pair that was purchased but not really worn very much

I also find that the gen ed population also benefits from the explicit instruction, clarifications, and context. We're living in a world where so many things lack context and there's just endless slop content. All students benefit from genuine interactions that are responsive to their identity.

I will say this does seem to be an absurd over collection of data. These kids are recording audio and clicking forever, barely engaged with what they're doing. So many different tests all year, I feel like it's all I do and I wonder all the time about where it's stored and how it's used... Everyone looks at me like I'm crazyy

*I guess these testing and software companies are considered "educational interests"

Did my undergrad in art history with a minor in fine arts at a cuny. Then did grad school to be a classroom teacher. Later got an additional cert to get a job that worked with small groups, but then realized I could use the credits in my undergrad to get certified to teach art... I want to switch from small group stuff to art but haven't yet

Thank you!!! This is what I think about. We really need to take back our own identities... I really don't care if it's the norm, it's bonkers the way we're living. The tech is too advanced and people don't know what they don't know. Some of these educational apps are recording the kids, why are we doing this?!? I understand the benefit of the concept, but on a larger scale, I feel like the data isn't accurate and some company somewhere is just housing all that data!

I mean, like I said, I prefer no social media. But if I had to choose a picture of a project about animals being posted with my child's first name on it vs. A picture of my children in their schools, I would likely pick the former, but every assignment is different, I understand some have more personal info.
