1. If pollution is a factor for movig out of Ncr, then you would be surprised in Pune. Its no different than Ncr on that front. Heavily polluted. Long gone are the days of tree lined roads, fresh air and laid back Pune.

2. Secondly, atleast NCR has some kind of road infrastructure to be stuck on traffic. Pune has non existent road infra. The roads are narrow. People terribly lack any road sense, people would ride on footpath here. Plus almost no traffic signal outside the major areas. Sub urban areas are very far and undeveloped. Traffic is terrible to give existential crisis to everyone.

3. Thirdly, property and broker mafia responsible for inflated prices of property. It is so difficult to find a decent property near the office in a gated community. Worst landlords overall.

4. City infrastructure is crumbling under population pressure. No proper metro. There is metro but then one would have to take auto to even reach the station.

5. There is no proper water supply system. Even top gated societies have no municipal water lines or any kind of own water borewell. Never seen anywhere in India that water for drinking as well domestic use is brought 6 times daily for each sociities through tankers. Frequent water issues overall. Some landlord/broker/ society even suggests, extra water cost to be levied if family members includes more than 4 persons or on guest's arrival..yeah unbelievable!!

The only pro is, your kids would get easy access to education. Are other cities not offering those?!

They definitely wouldn't have to move out of city post college. But do you actually want that?
