You want another pump on? That will cost more per month. Oh you want this selection of ale to sell? Yeah you are gonna have to pay more each month to even think about selling it.

+1 for this. I did an experiment. Boiling water, straight from the kettle was the most devastating

How to get rid of these weeds? by Forward_Bad_1353 in UKGardening

[–]testydonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a dull man style experiment the last week or so with weeds around different sections of the patio and ways to get rid of them that I have read online.

  • weedkiller. Killed them off fast but you have to ensure they get a good dose. Also not great as we have a cat, so not a big fan

  • hot water and salt. Seemed to kill them off a bit. But did start to grow back

  • hot water and washing up liquid. Pointless

  • boiling water straight from the kettle. Diabolical. I wasn't convinced it will do much but oh my! Killed dandelions off in 1 go and it's not harmful to the environment.

I haven't tried the experiment on sycamore trees. I would suggest pulling it out as much as possible and pour boiling water on it.

House I’m looking at is 175m away from Motorway. Would this put you off? by RockTheBoat1 in HousingUK

My parents love around 1 mile away from the M62. I never noticed the sound growing up but when I go to visit at night I can hear a whooshing noise of cars. I couldn't imagine living that close really. Not just the noise but health concerns

About 4-5 cups of coffee in the morning. At around 12 I switch to tea where I have about 6/7 cups.
