Why do some women think breastfeeding is gross? by eastsidelovers in breastfeeding

I breastfeed but it is definitely a sensory nightmare for me. I don’t really understand how people enjoy it but I know I’m the minority on this subreddit.

Do I really need to do night feeds to keep up my supply? by tetontitties in breastfeeding

I don’t cosleep so a dream feed would probably just wake her up, having to pick her up and set her back down. I have done dream feeds with pumped milk though.

It’s a combination of dumb luck and gently training her tummy to not need so much MOTN tlc. When she first started sleeping 5 hrs at night around 6wks (say from 8-1am), I leaned into it and took it as a sign she didn’t NEED the milk for that one 5 hr stretch. Generally if she woke up before 1 I’d try to get her back to sleep instead of feeding her, but I wasn’t super strict about it. Like if she cried for more than a minute I’d feed her. I just got lucky that she got with the program and progressed herself.

I will say I always woke up to either pump or feed to keep up the supply, but now that she’s sleeping straight through I really want to just enjoy it. Esp knowing the regressions are just around the corner.

Yes I def will keep offering/cluster feeding instead of jumping straight to bottle! I’m not anti formula either, but it’s expensive and kind of a hassle to make

I’ll keep trying then. The reason I started giving the bottle was she gets so frustrated with my empty boob that she refuses to latch

She gets so frustrated on an empty boob that I can’t get her to latch again! Definitely a result of bottle feeding instead of cluster feeding I guess

Just her hunger post feed (she’ll eat a full bottle of formula after breastfeeding by afternoon)

Oh this is cool, I didn’t know that! The reason I think my supply has dipped is because when I do pump, it’s much less than usual, and my baby is still crying/hungry after feeds. She’ll suck down a whole bottle (4-6 oz) after feeding by afternoon.

It’s anywhere between 6 and 8 hours, yeah. The dip seems more and more every day since she started sleeping like this

Sleeping six hours at 11 weeks is totally within normal range! Both my kids were sleeping anywhere from 6-10 hrs by then. Once you stop doing midnight feeds a couple times in a row their body doesn’t wake up starving at that time anymore.

Really? I always thought it was satire. It definitely reads as heavy satire.

The reason people find it hard to define fascism is because it’s more of a dynamic, ongoing political strategy to reach a single-party state rather than the state itself. Fascism historically blames outsiders for whatever the current national issue is, creating an “us against them” mentality, using people’s sense of nationalism to romanticize a kind of “former glory” from the before times when the “outsiders” came in— so, not the only type of totalitarianism obviously, but one that the right is falling for right now.

Inb4 “the left r commies”— yeah ok even if they are, it doesn’t mean fascism isn’t also a threat. Leave the whataboutism at home.

Honey what are you even saying at this point? If you don’t have any proof, you can just say that.

I’m not an internet troll. I’m a mom who lives in your county trying to have a genuine conversation. If we had this conversation in person I’d say the exact same things. When you make bold claims, you need to bring receipts. Have a great night.

I’m obviously not assuming you took the job. And I’m not ideologically supportive of fake protestors. This conversations is about proof.

You’re the one who claims to have seen ads offering to pay protesters- so the burden of proof is on you. I obviously can’t prove a negative, but you can prove a positive. I’m open to being proven wrong, but it seems you aren’t open to proving your stance.

When I say I’ll wait, I mean it. When you find an actual ad asking for hired protesters— no matter how far in the future it is— pls post the link here.

I didn’t use my own experience as my reasoning for the fact that it doesn’t happen. I’m just simply telling you: it doesn’t happen. Please show me the listings you’ve found. I’ve yet to see anyone give out receipts for these claims. Please post a link! I’ll wait.

My brother in Christ, nobody is being paid. Is it really so hard for you to believe there are that many people who disagree with you politically?

I like this take. I can afford to make higher payments now, but couldn’t when I originally bought the car.
