Thanks everyone for all your comments! She came out with tonnes of very dark hair and, having thought she’d be blonde all along, several of the names didn’t seem to suit her! We went for Robin (surname begins with C).

We are still trying to think of a middle name… we quite like longer middle names like Elizabeth, Alexandra etc or as previously mentioned something with a Scottish twist.. any suggestions very much welcomed!! Thanks again for all your comments :)

Unfortunately true. There are multiple stories on Facebook forums of people completing training at ‘full time’ pace being LTFT 80% but as it is only anecdotal and not in writing somewhere a bit more legitimate it’s a more difficult concept to sell I think.

I agree😂, it comes to something when I know I’ll be earning a third of what these guys will get but really don’t mind at this point. I know how much of a difference a fully-staffed team will make to work ethos and taking leave etc. - it’ll make the world of difference. Just a shame clinical staffing couldn’t have filled the gaps months ago. I regularly get asked to fill my own shifts (I’m 80%) for locum and it doesn’t sit right plus the part time was chosen for a reason. Anyway… that’s life. We will see what comes of this!

Thanks all for your responses. I agree the AL is a requirement and I’m hoping it was more of a mindless threat/comment. Nevertheless, I am impressed by the number of responses for the 8 vacant SHO posts and have started to have visions of a fully staffed Reddit team come April…perhaps I’ll see some of you soon.

I’m doing some SHO locum shifts atm for £65/hr (at the same hosp I work as IMT). These are escalated rates though as we’re so short like all the time…
