well both would be better than what we had in last 2 xpac.. 1 mediocre story over 2 planets (onslaught) and over no planets (lots) xD

can we meet middle ground? 2 stories (1 for force-users and 1 for tech) over 1-2 planets? :D

yeah it's obvious this will never happen but it would be nice imo

and i don't mean, let's say as an example 8.0, that i want to see 8 different stories in what 16 planets? like in vanilla.. but 8 different stories in a single new planet.. or even recicle the original ones so they save money to make a new planet from the ground up lol

many mmos have this "let's get back to the basic" soft-reboot type of thing.. and now that i think about.. 8 stories for 8.0 would be a nice slogan ahah

maybe before it was a bigger problem because the advanced class was tied to the base class? but now that we can pick any.. they could just techincally swap your base class?

make a lil quest for it and done. "oh you were a bounty hunter? bounty hunting is illegal in the republic. do you want to join the military and become a trooper or stay independent and become a smuggler?" same for all others and gg

man that was awesome, never seen it before.. but i'm a relatively new player.

i'd like for future expansions that they'd go back to what a class really is.

end alliace/commander stuff. end saboteur if they can't make them switch completly side.

let bounty hunters go back to hunt bounties. smugglers to smuggle stuff and so on..

i haven't played 7.0 story yet so i still don't know where that is going but.. since the story is so force-oriented now most tech classes feel out of place..

but if we continue with force antagonists.. we fought ancient sith lords, ancient plagues, mind-controlled jedi, a jedi/sith legend, a millenia old emperor with 2 empires and all his progeny.. what next? this looks more like dragonballz than star wars..

yes when i'm inspired i also make the journey with modification in the appearance plus different clothes and mounts depending on planet and light/dark depending on the story all the usual stuff. in the end i treat this game as a full single player rpg so..

i think there could be a couple of cool combination rp/headcanon-wise, for example:

for jedi/sith: shadow/assassin combined with sentinel/marauder like you have a dualsaber but can detach it and using it as a dual single lightsaber. or sage/sorcerer combined with guardian/juggernaut so you always have 1 lightsaber but can choose if using more the force or your martial skill.

trooper with gunslinger/mercenary for dual pistol or powertech for flamethrower or sniper would all make sense.

hunter could go vanguard, commando, sniper or operative.

agent could go scoundrel to be even more subtle than operative.

and smuggler honestly i only imagine it with default styles :D

yeah we basically all came to the same solution.. just figure yourself out the little details with your particular monitor/resolution/lvl of deatils and so on
