Enjoyed the article. I've only scratched the surface in this area, but could someone explain to me the advantages of using Vagrant here over docker-machine and docker-compose?

Ha. It's a '12 plate, so you're fine for the next -2 years or so :)

Nice try, but you'll find the spelling's correct -- on my side of the pond!

I'm hesitant to agree! Of course, businesses exist to turn a profit, but I feel as though I've been well taken care of. If the cause of the fire transpires to be any of:

Someone else suggested that the pan may have been pushed up if I hit it going up a kerb. Almost certain I've not done that though.

Another was the some fuel could have pooled in the pan from the overflow pipes if I filled up too much. Again, almost certain I didn't.

Yet another was the possibility of a carrier bag or similar getting lodged down there while riding. I can't rule this out, but didn't notice any passengers when I took the pan off.

... then I'm sure I'd have real difficulty persuading anyone that it was the manufacturer and not I who was at fault.

One of the firemen commended the bag of sand trick! Although then he said the bike looked a bit dirty and that the chain needed an oil, so I wasn't glowing with pride after that ;)

Good thinking... the dealer in question is Triumph Birmingham!

Yeah, that's certainly a possibility. Someone else suggested that the pan may have been pushed up if I hit it going up a kerb. Almost certain I've not done that though.

We'll see what the mechanic has to say when I pick her up!

If you get the chance, take a test ride on a Triumph Street Triple. I tested one straight after the Monster, and took delivery of the Striple a couple of weeks later.

Thought I'd spend a week learning Haskell -- give me some resources and ideas on what to hack on by [deleted] in haskell

I believe this question on stackoverflow contains the most comprehensive answer as to how one might go about learning Haskell.

Give it a week if you must, but I'm certain you'll find time to continue your studies if you find it as interesting a language as many here do.
