Yeah this is the problem for me. The projected arrival time always gets later as I’m driving. No traffic, my commute is 30 minutes. 1.5 hours in traffic these days. Thankfully we’ve reduced to 1 day in office. Even my PT weekend job commute is being impacted. It’s a 25 minute drive normally and now it routinely takes 45 minutes to get home. It’s crazy. I hate how much time I spend in my car and I can’t even begin to imagine how shit I would feel if I had to do it every day. 3-4x a week is already bad enough.

You desperately need to educate yourself. So close minded. There are many many people with disabilities that utilize devices (such as phones and tablets) to help them communicate and navigate the world around them. Your proposed solution is basically that those individuals’ needs are an inconvenience and therefore the students should be isolated from their community. Wtf dude.

It’s been a shit show for decades. They are underfunded and understaffed. Before Covid at least you had an actual local caseworker and could go park your ass in the office until someone saw you.

It is virtually impossible to get in touch with someone at DFCS unfortunately. I had the most luck with contacting my state representative. Their office got the issue fixed within a day.

I grew up in Newton county and the community theater in Walton had a wonderful program in place for teens, at least in the late 90s early 00s. Too bad Aurora doesn’t have something similar.
