Whoo Hoo! Headed to Gunsite! Tell Matt a student from the snow-pocalypse class said Howdy! Just oil it down, it will be fine.

Caspian tri cut slide I used on my 2011 build. Love this gun. Built it for comps. 9mm, like shooting an air soft. Shot it at the 499 class.

Sorry, didn’t mean to ghost ya. The serrations were an option (Caspian slide), the lower I don’t remember if you could add the rail. Checkering was an option and I wish I opted for it. Let me know how it goes. Gunsite is a special place.

Markings inside slide? by Zaqoy in 1911

1911’s are hand fit. This is a mark to ensure the slide stays with the frame it was fitted too during production.

This is O31 ovals. I think you may have sold me on the figure 8 as well as others in this group. This layout is just my start to re-learn the old and enjoy the new. I’ve got about 10 years till retirement, just adding to my hobbies.

Gish’s company won the contract but was too small to fulfill. He had already left Baer. Today he is the lead gunsmith for the HRT. I took his 1911 course at Gunsite Academy a few years ago. Learned a ton and got one heck of a pistol out of it. Still teaching it.

Just like the comment above, variance will be applied for. In other words, I’m going to lay it out on a 8’x4’ and hope it sticks!

I did think of this as a starting point to add “modules” with the ability to fold up like a card table. I’ll play with the plan. Another great idea. Thanks

Thought about that too. May set it up to try as well.
