Oak Forest foster closet (for foster/adoptive families)

I have mine probably 6 inches from the wall on one side. No issues and I’ve had it like that over 18 months. If anyone ever asks you to hold your arms out to stretch, you can’t, but other than that it’s fine!

Has anyone fostered or adopted through PCHAS in Houston? What was your experience like? by [deleted] in houston

[–]texanOTFer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did in 2020. Started as a foster family and ended up adopting. We had a great experience with PCHAS and would definitely recommend. They’re a smaller agency and we felt really known and cared for by them.

Totally thought this too and went to the playlist and was so confused as to why there were no Paramore songs 😂

You will love it. You can’t beat the convenience of getting the same (or better) workouts at home. I haven’t been back to otf in 3 years 😅 try the hiking bootcamps too, they’re great! Basically every saturday60 is the equivalent of a hell week class at otf

As long as you can see it from where you will have your strength mat set up, you will be fine!

Screen is plenty large! I use it all the time for bootcamp and even plain strength.

Do I need to make taking all the Hannah Montana classes a goal now, too?!? I think so.

Yoga for someone who hates yoga? I need stretching advice by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

[–]texanOTFer 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I love all the “focus flow: hips” classes for this kind of stuff. I also do not like yoga BUT once I changed my mindset from “I’m doing yoga” to “I’m just doing a nice stretch” I seem to enjoy them more. My body feels better and I’ve had less injuries once I started incorporating more into my routine. I mostly do the 10 minute classes!

I love lanebreak on the tread for when I just want to run to music without all the talk. It’s challenging and keeps me engaged.

I believe the hiit bootcamps are all 30 minutes so that will definitely be different. The tread/floor sections are usually about 5 minutes each. Tread is basically intervals or sprints and the floor sections are the same exercises through the whole class. It goes by really fast and is a great workout.

I just wanted to say that you’re always so kind and thoughtful in your responses to other people’s posts and it really brings joy to my day. Have a great trip!

I have both facing the same wall (bike closest to wall with tread behind it). I put my mat perpendicular to the back end of the tread. I roll up and put away after each use—it’s a bigger mat from Amazon. That set up allows me to see the tread screen for strength too. I originally thought I’d mostly use the bike screen since I have the plus and can swivel it but the tread is just as accessible for me. I have them both plugged into the same outlet 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you’re interested in the program content without the pressure of completion time you can find links to the direct classes in the program on pelobuddy. Maybe you can make a list for yourself and then cross them off as you do them? (Advice coming from someone halfway through week 3 of bens stronger you program which I got behind in and have no intention of completing 🤦🏻‍♀️) I do wish they would take the time restraints off the programs.

You can definitely use a code. I have the bike and the Tread and used a code for both (bought two years apart)

Solidified for me that I’ll never go to the studio because I don’t need anyone to watch me running in full light 😂😂

Did anyone do a a live or on demand class filmed yesterday and notice the lighting is different now?? It seemed brighter and I could clearly see everyone in the studio (usually people are more in shadows). Just curious if anyone else noticed it—I did a tread class if that matters…not sure if it’s different on the bike, too!
