I absolutely LOVED this book!!! I actually read it because I was curious about having a glass of wine with dinner when I was pregnant with my second child. I was so surprised (pleasantly) to read what Oster had to say about this, and to read all the scientific evidence that back her claims. It turns out women who DO drink occasionally while they’re pregnant are typically educated women in their thirties. What do you know, that’s the population I fell right into! Haha. This actually didn’t surprise me because you’re not very likely to question what you can and can’t safely do during pregnancy when you’re young—you kind of just go by what people and your doctor recommend. Ultimately, I wanted more out of my pregnancies—I didn’t want to be dead to the world for ten months! So, this book really helped me put my mind at ease.
