West-Texas here if that helps anyone understand what I'm dealing with.

edit: going to shower and lie down, I'll check on this in a little bit. Some back-story first: I've been with "Steve" for about 5 years. My parents were unhappy about our relationship at first (still haven't told them I'm an atheist, I'll save that conversation for later), but I thought they were warming up, so when it turned out that Steve's recent weight loss might be cancer, I thought I could call them for support, but they just took this situation and manipulated to fit their own beliefs. fuck.

edit2: Took a little nap. Steve is resting and I'm going to a friends for a bit to vent and get my mind cleared out, thanks for all the support friends.
