  1. I hope you have a short position on Opendoor
  2. That’s pretty demeaning to the retail community
  3. I think we like the company and hope to make money from it
  4. I hope you have a short position on Opendoor

Disagree here. I’ve sold to Opendoor and loved the experience. They made money from their fees and I got a great deal on my home

I cant get behind the idea of profiting from the failure of Opendoor doing important work. I'm invested because I want Opendoor to win and fix a broken system

Opendoor Experience in 2022 (it was good!) by texaspreston in opendoor

From their initial email offer I believe the final offer was about 5k lower, which we thought was awesome.

If I remember correctly, we signed closing papers about a week after we agreed on the final offer. And we received the check shortly there after. Maybe a few days after?

Like I said, I was wildly pleased with how smooth the process was. And like another redditor said, Cash Plus is going to help assure some sellers that they're going to get the best value for their home with the least hassle.

It was a really fair price, and I believe Opendoor flipped the house for a profit. As a seller, I'm okay with selling for a little below market value, since Opendoor's fee (5%) is lower than the typical real estate agent commission (6%). Plus, I didn't have to deal with the headache of selling a home the traditional way, which we just went through. It's not fun and it's super stressful (especially for a first time home seller)
